Not worth the hype
In first cooking itself, a tiny chunk of coating came out. Then after every cooking, its deteriorating slowly.

    With the name steel in it, I was surprised it was an Aluminium pan. The pan has a thich bottom on it and cooks well. The non-stick coating is good. I have not had anything stick to it not even cheese. The lid is a little cheap but it works so far. Overall I like the product especially the non-stick part. I never had a non-stick pan that really did not have a problem with stuff sticking. So thumbs up!

    Don't waste your money
    At first I loved this item but it quickly changed. It is very easy to scratch and stick even following their directions for use of the pan; the correct teflon spoons and hand washing. Give me my old cheap teflon pans anyday and while on sale now not worth it. It truly is ridiculous at how fast this pan went down. and I used olive oil too. I would have returned it if life had allowed that. What is crazy to me as it has several tiny little scratches that doesnt make sense. I am the only one that used that pan too! I would share but not set up to do that.

    The Zen frying pan. Must have peace of mind.
    This replaced a Gotham frying pan that I ruined by using high heat, butter, oil and spray. Don't do that! Use medium heat. Use a timer so you don't get antsy and turn the heat up. I use my smartphone timer. Seven minutes each side of a burger pattie or for eggs sunny side up seems to get it done. Remain calm. Straighten up the kitchen while you are waiting for the chimes. The eggs will indeed slide out.

    Nothing Sticks!
    I highly recommend Gotham Steel products; I have four pans now, plus two others I bought for my daughter. Nothing sticks, so clean-up is a snap. I haven't yet used one for the oven, but they withstood the dishwasher, so I imagine they'd be fine in the oven up to 500 degrees.

    Still Cooking and Looking Good
    This pan does a great job cooking on medium heat on an electric stove. It cleans up very nicely with a plastic/nylon scrubbing sponge and warm sudsy water. I don't put the pan in the dishwasher, but the lid has held up well being washed both ways. I've been using the pan for a while now, and it still looks new, even when I accidentally let some cheesy sauce boil over.
