Started right up from Box..BUT
Set up the machine with my son after I got home from work as instructed. Started on first pull. I was impressed. Pressure washed a small section of the drive way and it did great. Shut the machine off with the intention of starting bright and early the next morning to tackle the rest of the driveway, walkway and patio. Next morning hooked it all back up...it started on the first pull again. Awesome. Started to pull out the wand and the engine just instantly stopped. Uh oh. Tried the starting process all over but could not get it started again. Tried several times over the course of the morning to get it started...no go. Used the trouble shooting guide noted in the manual. No help. Then called Generac customer service. Put her on speaker as we went through the trouble shooting process . No go. After about 1/2 an hour of trying, customer service gave me the local repair shop and asked me to bring it to them. So I call the repair shop recommended and the guy tells me he won't be able to look at it for 5 to 6 weeks. Now contemplating sending it back to Generac....the bad part about ordering on line....will decide what to do with it tonight. So far...I had high hopes, but now not impressed.

    Burned through the hose within the first hour since there is nothing to keep it off the engine. Finally secure tied the hose up out of the way, but still have to be extremely careful. Starts easy and runs well.

    This power washer is performing better than my expectation while being relatively affordable. The assembly straight from the box to operating took me less than 30 mins. It comes with a bottle of engine oil and a "trial" fuel stabilizer. It even has a compartment and a nozzle for soap.

    Excellent pressure washer for the money.
    Took pressure washer out of the box and assemble it without tools. Hooked up the water to it and stripped down my patio deck, that I have had for 16 years to the bare wood without effort. I am telling you the wood looked as if it was almost new. The pressure washer had plenty of power. Wished I had purchased one years ago.

    Nice Generac Pressure Washer
    Received washer in good delivery time. Opened box and got the manual, read thru it before pulling washer out of box. Once I pulled washer from box, it took 10 minutes to assemble, 5 minutes to fill with oil and gas and connect water hose. The unit started with 1 pull of the cord and we were off and running! I really like that the unit comes with 4 tips that are all you will need for everyday jobs and the on-board soap/chemical tank!!!

    Highly Recommend this Pressure Washer
    I got tired of borrowing a pressure washer and decided to purchase my own. I done all the review searching like everyone else and found this one to be rated high from all chain stores. Walmart had the best price and the product arrived in perfect condition. Easy assemble, and started right up. Since my purchase I have done my driveway, house, back patio and deck without any issues. Still have the fence left, but wanted to leave a review since they helped guide me to this pressure washer.

    Great Pressure Washer
    I bought this after using a friends 2000psi electric power washer and I love it! Used it right away for my driveway and the front of our house...next use is working the deck over before refinishing!

    Very good pressure washer for the money .
    Cleans houe siding great ,washes car and trucks really good . This one right out of the box first pull start could not believe it .Vert easy to assemble and very easy to change the tips for different jobs. Very pleased with it it meets all my requirements and I would recommend it to any one who is thinking about getting a pressure washer. Generac#6596,2800PSI Malibudon

    I ordered the Generac 6596 2,800 pressure washer and when it arrived, I couldn't wait to start using it to clean my driveway. Setup was very easy, taking about 20 minutes to get the pieces out of the box, get the handle onto the frame, screwing on some hoses, and adding oil and fuel. No tools were required, so even the most unskilled person could get this thing working easily. The instructions remind you in multiple places never to start without having your water hooked up and turned on, so as long as you follow the setup instructions, it shouldn't be a problem getting the washer working. Mine started on the first pull, which is pretty impressive. This model of Generac comes with 4 wand tips, ranging from a cleaning solution tip to a 0 degree "blast" tip. I paired mine up with a Karcher T350 surface cleaner (rated at 2650 psi, so use at your own risk), and it worked great cleaning my driveway. It made a normally 2 to 4 hour job a 45 minute job, plus it didn't leave streaks or areas where I missed. The large wheels and upright orientation make the pressure washer easy to move around, and the placement of the hose connectors made it easy NOT to accidentally get the hose up against the hot engine (a cause of failure in other models). Bottom-line for me: this is an affordable power washer that does the job. It cost me less than what I would have paid a professional, it accepted an inexpensive surface cleaner attachment, and it's powerful enough to get a dirt and moss encrusted driveway clean.
