Best Metal Detector for the Money
This is an excellent general-purpose metal detector. I did a lot of homework before I purchased and this is the best beginner's metal detector for the money - hands down. I was able to find coins right away. I have used it for 1.5 years. It has been rained on lightly, left in a hot truck for weeks, used in water almost up to the electronics/display, used by children, dropped, left in -30f degrees for weeks. Most of this the manual warns against; however, my unit keeps finding money and jewelry. The unit uses (4)AAA batteries. I have been through 3 sets of batteries in the time I have owned it. The batteries last a very long time. I threw away the little strap that comes with it. You should keep the strap because it is useful while digging for money in the water as it really helps you keep the unit's display/electronics out of the water. For land-lovers, it is a little itchy-scratchy which is why I removed it.

I been using White Coin master classic ll , this is more better. If it says penny or dime, thats what it is. And the depth scale is real nice too. Like the pinpoint feature, its way nice !

    Good product
    This was my first metal detector and I'm happy with it, I think it was well worth the price. I was also extremely thrilled that the shipping was free and I got it the very next day that it got shipped and it was just a week before Christmas, over websites was charging $50 for overnight shipping during that time. Overall I give this purchase two thumbs up!

    Great detector for beginner.
    i like the Ace250 too much,its really light , good quality.The bad thing is price i think for the money that i paid ,its better they add pro-pointer in the box. thank you 10/21/2014

    I like It!
    My first metal detector and I like it.I have found a few dollars in change in only a few hours.I have never used a metal detector before, and was suprised how easy it was for me to use this one.It seems to work as advertised.Have not found any silver or gold yet, but have found coins like crazy!

    Garrett Ace 250
    I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Garrett Ace 250. It is much better than my older Fisher and has better controls and a visual display, which my other detector doesn't have. Like any other new device, it takes plenty of practice before one becomes skilled at reading the targets.

    Works great out of the box.
    Used it straight out of the box and found things in my yard. Have not been able to go out and use yet. Worked great with no problem. Easier to use than the $800 one my brother has. GB2.

    great deal, pay for it self in no time
    I often travel to sporting events and spend the night in the rv,and look in the morning after for coins ect.. Iam just beginning this new sport and lots to learn yet, but on my way. The wife loves the product also and we take turns at hunting.
