Nice running, biking, sleep monitor
The Garmin 35GPS is a nice watch. I've used it for running and biking, once I got the start going on my rides it records distance, heartbeat, calories. I really wanted it for sleep monitoring, it does an OK job. I doesn't differentiate between light sleep and simply laying still.

This is not a new watch. It was not shipped in the original Garmin packaging. No warranty information. Shipped in a plain box with the watch and charger and the instructions. At a minimum this is a return, worst case refurbished.

    Jury still out
    I bought this as a gift for a relative who is a gym rat. I read the reviews and checked consumer reports first. The only issue I have is the way it was packaged. The watch was in a plastic pouch and the charger in another pouch and then put in a non discript box. It's probably fine (hopefully, as it's under the tree) It just made me feel like it may be a knock off. I just feel that a purchase over $100 should be packaged and presented differently.

    Not a new product.
    I don't believe this is a new product, since it didn't come in it's factory packaging. It was loose in a larger plain box with a blue dot sticker on it's face. I have to assume it refurbished and I didn't see any indication of that on the online product page. This was to be a Christmas present and I don't want it to appear used. Very disappointed.

    Wristband broke after 2 months
    Liked the watch until the wristband became detached from my wrist while walking and I almost lost it. The attachment is very flimsy.

    Pulse rate errors
    If your pulse rate is a main reason for making this purchase Do not bother. It records rates that are very high. Deleting just the bad reading is not easy.

    This item is NOT new, or in factory sealed packaging. This item is USED and/or REFURBISHED. I would not have purchased, as this is for a gift. It arrived in a bubble envelope and white box.

    referb fail
    dead already. About 3 months old and it's dead dead dead. Everything was going find and then one day it just shut off with a full battery no matter what I do it will not reboot or turn on. 1st of all I didn't even know it was a referb buyer beware.
