Severe Distortion Problems
I realize these are inexpensive speakers, but I didn't expect their performance to be quite this bad. If I crank the source volume on my computer above 50% severe harmonic distortion occurs. I am slightly hard of hearing and usually have the volume control near the max setting most of the time. The audio output from my Toshiba laptop is low which forces me to compensate by cranking up the volume too. I ran an audio diagnostic test on these speakers and picked harmonic distortion especially on the lower frequencies. Even taking the bass out with an equalizer didn't always solve the distortion noise problem. The passive sub-woofers do not perform adequately. At low to medium volume these speakers seem to perform as expected for their price range. If you like your music loud, I would pass on these speakers.

    Highly recommend.
    Looks real nice but could actually use a little bit longer wire between the speakers as I use a tv for a monitor. It barely is long enough to have the speakers on each side of the tv and the volume controler where I can reach it. Other than that, great sound, looks nice and very easy to install.

    UNBELIEVABLE
    Wow all that bass and sound from such small, not too small speakers. The fact that they are very upscale and stylish is nothing compared to the sound. The bass is perfect and the sound does not crack. How can they sell these speakers for that price, I don't care just don't change. I will continue to buy this brand until something changes.

    Perfect for my 46in Westinghouse LED TV!
    I wanted to improve the sound of my 46-inch Westinghouse LED TV, because the built-in speakers sound like tin cans. I considered different sound bars, but I didn't want an extra remote, and I didn't want another thing to plug into the outlet. These are the perfect solution! They are inexpensive, sound great, nice bass, and I plug it into the Aux Input and it's controlled by the original remote. It's USB powered, so it only comes on when the TV is on, and turns off with the TV, so no wasted energy! I am thrilled by the value and beautiful sound quality!!

    Very good sound quality. Installed on small TV with very, very tinny sounding speakers. These speakers sound great and have a huge volume range. Extremely happy and great price to boot.

    Happy with the sound quality! Solid build except for the sub woofers which are soft to the touch. Paid less than the amazon price and no shipping because I picked it up at the store. For the price, they are very good. I just got them recently so I hope that they last a long time!

    USB POWERED....great with my laptop....really brought out the sound....great for all types of music...outstanding value....if you really like music...these are the BEST....especially for the for the price...i will definately check out more sonawave products
