Don't follow the directions!
The directions would have you completely remove the glove box assembly. I suggest first lowering the door (unhook wiring) and see if you can get the access panel open to the filter, after wasting a lot of time with no success (lots of screws and still couldn't get it out) I watched a u tube video. 10 minutes and done! except for all the screws. I have a 2013 Malibu.

    Fram CF10775 vs ACDelco CF1197C filter
    The GM OEM filter CF1197C that came with my car is a Mann CUK2442 (delphi mexico) with 31 thick pleats with two thin end edges. This fram chinese filter has 27 pleats since the space is taken up by two thicker ends.
