works perfectly!
The Fosman travel charger works perfectly for my son's DSXL! I'm pleased that I took a chance on ordering it for him after learning we couldn't find his original cord after moving. Now he can take his device with us and use it to prevent choosing boredom.

    Bought this item for my granddaughter cause I went over it with the vacuum cleaner and damaged it. I can say anything but all is fine with the item.

    Almost as good as the original charger!
    I bought this AC Adapter to replace the original one. Upon arrival, took it out of the package, plugged it in, plugged the DSi to it and right away, it started charging! There is one thing that caught my attention though... I noticed that if you have the unit turned on and the adapter connected to it, the battery meter on the top screen flashes on and off with a red light not blue, which it didn't used to do with the original adapter. Also I checked the charge given by this adapter and it was a little high. The outside case says the output is 4.6 Volts but I tested with a multi-meter and it actually gave a charge of 5.3 Volts. I don't think it's high enough to fry any electrical components in the DSi but I would definitely not play games while charging it just to be on the safe side. Charge time is about the same as the original charger :) Thanks and hope this helps anyone that is planning on buying this item.
