Great sealer machine
I've had this for past year and works great. One thing I did notice is that I can never trust the seal part with liquid so always do a double seal. As far as usage it is really easy. I keep mine in basement in its box and pull out when I need to use it. Have not had any issues with it. I would recommend purchasing the rolls and making your own bags. Very easy to operate. When you want to seal make sure top part it within the green area kind of hanging inside the catch bin. I came online today to order another one as a gift for parents. Reviews are rather few and not good which is not fair. I've worked tech and its usually end-user error or usage incorrectly most of the time. If you want to give a bad review your going to have to use more than a sentence, give some depth to your review of the issues. I have not had any issues and like the product. Price is nice and does the job you want. There is that vacuum hose attachment on it but I have no use for it so never truly looked into it. I've used mine to store beef patties, soups, jams, sausages, cabbage rolls...and thats about it so far. Remember to create your own bags. You save money with making your own. You can cut the material to fit your machine and use the seal function to create your desired size. It is also not for food, you can store other things as well such as seeds for planting. You can seal tulip bulbs to place in your fridge to speed overwintering if you want holiday cheer :-) or any bulk seeds you order online. Sure you can find many uses so dont limit yourself to only food.

Waste of time and money!
Won't seal properly. I have wasted my time and money on this. This is our second one in three days. Both vacuum slowly but get the job done. Neither one would seal completely. Now I have to go back and stand in line to return it. Walmart I value my time!

    Worked great after I figured it out!
    This was a gift, when I 1st used it I was not doing it correctly, after messing with it for a while it worked great! if I sealed one in, packed my product, left a few inches to work with, I put the filled bag in the unit with the end just at the tray, I slid the button to operate then pushed in the vacuum button, once it is finished vacuuming the seal comes on automatically. after a few minutes both lights come on and stay on, then it is completed and well vacuumed and sealed. Wet stuff might need a little more attention, if it errors on wet stuff, take it back out of the unit and dry between the layers with a paper towel and do it again, it works great as long as you operate it correctly. I always buy in bulk and separate and freeze, I also garden so it has been so useful for freezing green peppers and other vegetables so they don't take up so much freezer space.

    DON'T BUY
    If you plan to get the accessory kit to seal Mason jars then don't bother with this model. Foodsaver sells a jar attachment with hose but the hose doesn't fit into the port on the sealer. It doesn't say properly and therefore doesn't create a vacuum. I'm keeping the jar attachment I got separately but returning this foodsaver vacuum sealer.
