Surprised how good it is!
Honestly surprised how good it is, but perhaps that's due to when and where we enjoy it. At home we use LavAzza whole bean, but on frequent camping trips (and power failures in rural California) Folgers Gourmet and a French press brings a rich coffee flavor that is worth taking the time to enjoy.

not a substitute for Folgers Simply Gourmet coffee
I use to drink Folgers simply gourmet coffee. i loved the chocolate and the radpberry-chocolate varieties. when Folgers discontinued I purchased this to see if it was the same. It is not. This coffee has a smoky flavor to it that is just off putting. I will be switching to Farmers Brothers coffee which has a slight acidic taste but adding sugar to it helps that. Neither sugar nir vanilla extract additions can take out the smoky flavor of this Folgers coffee. It is too bad the Folgers cancelled their simply gourmet line.

    Love Folgers Bold! So many coffees today taste like dirty dishwater. Folgers Bold makes one great tasty cup of java.

    Disappointed in the entire product
    I'm a bit particular with my coffee. I saw a name brand coffee at an affordable price and went for it. I personally enjoy dark Arabica coffee. This tasted awful to me! However my mother said it wasn't too bad but she wouldn't purchase. This left a strong bitter aftertaste in my mouth. I do not like wasting products so this went into our garden.

    Bring back the old version
    This product used to be much bolder with more gourmet flavor. Folgers has started using inferior beans now, and it is no longer much different than other similar brands.

    Pleased with transaction
    Our local Walmarts have stopped stocking this brand of Folgers coffee and found ordering it online was very easy. We have been buying this brand for 10+ years and don't understand why it is no longer on the shelf. Hoping you don't stop stocking it online and, ultimately, that you start carrying it in the store again.

    Coffee is excellent! Walmart sales online, NOT so much. We burn a lot of coffee, coffeeholics, if you like. We "attempt" to buy 10-12 units at a time. This not only eliminates ordering frequently, it assures our purchase qualifies for "FREE SHIPPING!" What is frustrating is the online purchase is limited to four (4) units of any particular flavor. Four does not get you to the minimum $$ amount needed to qualify for the FREE SHIP! This requires you to buy some other flavor or product you don't want. This limit applies, regardless if the item is on sale or not. Solution would be to allow the purchase of a sufficient quantity to meet the requirement for the FREE SHIPPING!
