Wonderful, attractive stand.
The best put together furniture I ever bought. Very sturdy. Good instructions. I'm a 68 year old man who put it together my myself. How hard can it be?

Where to start.
Where to start. I'd give this a minus 10, if possible.
The 4 principal wood pieces were bagged, while no other pieces were. Why? Because they were covered with fiberglass powder. Apparently it's a better solution to bag it and keep the hazardous material contained (to be released in your house) than it is to clean them.
After cleaning, I discovered there were 5 defective parts - no pre-tapped holes to mount the hinges.
The manufacturer shipped me a complete, new kit. This time there was no bag around the contaminated parts, and they'd been pretty well cleaned.
So now to assemble the thing. Mind you, I like to think I'm not a complete idiot - my engineering resume includes the likes of Bell Labs and the NSF... but the assembly instructions are missing an absolutely vital piece of information. The assembly incorporates a cam bolt/lock system. Critically important - the depth to which you're supposed to thread the bolts into their little plastic mounting bits embedded in the faux wood. The only mention is the exhortation 'Do not overtighten!'.
It'd be really, really nice if somewhere, somehow, it was explained just what CONSTITUTES overtightening. No spec on how much to leave protruding for the lock to grab, no cross-sectional diagram showing how far to drive the screw in, nothing. Just 'Do not overtighten!' and a <30 second video without a single spoken word, showing some schmuk driving a screw into the wood. No detail, no nothing.
I am forced to wonder just how many of these rave reviews are written by actual customers.
Spend a little more money and get a prebuilt product. You'll be much happier.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/29/2021Wouldn't hesitate to buy it again if I had to!!Love the cabinet! Was fairly easy to assemble, rich looking, and our 40 gallon aquarium tank looks even better sitting on top of it.Lorraine

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/10/2020Great product at a good priceGreat product at a good price. Some minor issues during assembly. But if you take your time and make some minor adjustments with the depth of the cam locks and bolts it'll come together nicely.Scott

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/31/2019Heavy and sturdyNice heavy and sturdy. I thought it was pretty easy to put together but if you've never assembled furniture using the cam lock system you may want to YouTube or make sure you understand how it works per the directions before starting. Also I read a lot of reviews on other websites and other reviewers have complained about a gap between the 2 cabinet doors. The hinges are adjustable and the gap people are referring to can easily be fixed.nandc

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/08/2019Good productPretty simple assembly except for putting the top on. Took my husband and I around 1 hour to put together. There's a good amount of storage and works well for our tank.Rlkrsmith
