Great toy!
Overall, I really liked all the features of this toy. The large elephant was especially fun for my 2 youngest sons – ages 2 and almost 4. They love how large the elephant is, and how it could sit on the scale on the playset. I do wish it fit on the scale a little bit better – they had some issues getting the elephant to stay put on the scale. They liked being able to move the elephant's trunk and head – and that it made different noises and sounds. I love that it also came with standard-sized characters and animals that could be used with the playset and large Elephant. I like that they could measure the heights of all of the characters – and not just the elephant. They really liked being able to roll the balls of food down the ramp into the food dish for the elephant. The teeter totter and swing were a big hit too! They were all able to play with different parts of the same toy – at the same time. It's a fun toy for all ages and the quality is great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun Little People toy!

Colorful but limited
I ordered this "zoo" because my first impression was that there was going to be more moving parts, but after we opened it up, my grand-daughter only played with it for a short time and was not that interested in it for very long. She did, however play with it the next day, but more with her imagination than using the toy itself. The elephant is clearly the "star" of the zoo, since it has a yellow mouse button on its back that you push for sound effects. The ears move and click when you move them. The trunk is jointed, so very moveable and fun to maneuver. The shoe lace tail has a sound effect too, when you pull on it, which is sort of musical. So for the most part, the elephant has a lot of features to discover. I feel that because my almost 3 year old grand-daughter has other more interactive action like toys, that a younger toddler would find this more interesting. It is fun to "feed" the elephants by dropping the "balls of food" down the "mousetrap-like" chute, but she did not seem to understand that the tree tops were to be used like a see-saw and when we showed her, she was not that impressed with that feature. As for measuring the animals, with the adjustable sliding clicking indicator, she does not quite get the concept or importance, since her animals don't change or grow. The little people are limited in character in comparison to the animals, since they just exist with no moving parts, but that is just food for thought if they were to re-design them to interest children of this age.

    Cute little zoo.
    The Fisher-Price Little People Big Animal Zoo is an excellent toy for young toddlers. My daughter absolutely loves playing with this toy. The Fisher-Price Little People Big Animal Zoo is constructed of quality plastic guaranteeing it will last for a long time. Some of the extra pieces are made a little cheaper which is disappointing but not to the point of not buying the toy. My daughter loves the elephant. She quickly learned to pull the tail and push on the little mouse so that she can hear his elephant call or dance to the music. She has learned to push the girl on the swing and roll the balls 'elephant food', down the slope. This set comes with the big elephant and a monkey along with two people. That was kind of disappointing because I thought there would be a couple more animals for the zoo besides the two that were provided. Besides the disappointment of only two animals this toy is definitely worth it. It provides an outlet for your child's growing imagination when they pretend they are taking care of the animals and tending to their needs. I would definitely recommend this toy to family & friends.

    Great learning toy!!
    I received this Fisher-Price Little People Big Animal Zoo for our daughters and they love it. Our almost 1yr old and almost 4year old both seem to be having lots and lots of fun with this. Our baby loves to sit and play with the elephant because she quickly realized that if you press on the top, it makes noise. It is so cute. The legs move and the head but their favorite part is the elephant's ears. Our daughter who is almost 4 also has lots of fun with her imagination and playing with this animal zoo. It came with several accessories such as the little people and she loves to make them swing, explore, and "climb" the treehouse. I love to see my girls playing with toys that require their imagination to play. Any toy that holds up in our house is definitely made with quality and will last a long time around little ones. This zoo has already been played with a lot and is holding up very well. When it arrived, it was ready to use and play with right out of the box. The only thing that required batteries was the elephant and they were INCLUDED!!! Overall, this was another great addition to our toy room for our little ones. I would recommend this to family and friends who are starting to look for Christmas presents or birthday presents for little ones. Great toy!! Great fun!!!

    Cute and Durable Toy
    The Fisher-Price Little People Big Animal Zoo was a selection I had made from the WalMart Spark Review Program. This toy was selected for my just turned two year old twin boys. I was a little nervous because I thought they would fight over the toy but there were enough pieces to go around. What one twin was interested in the other wasn't. This set came with a very large elephant that plays music and makes noise when it's tail is pulled or the mouse on his back is pushed down. There is a tree swing which the boy and girl fit on. The Fisher-Price Little People Big Animal Zoo also has a teeter totter tree house which the animals can play on. I happened to have a few random little people animals I had purchased in the past and they fit right on the activities in the tree house. There were a couple of smaller items that are pretty useless with the set... the one lonely fence and a feeding trough. My boys lost the trough within the first 30 minutes of playing with the toy. I think overall my twins enjoy playing with the tree house but they are almost too young to understand how to play with some of it. Although they did enjoy sending whatever fit down the little ramp. I would suggest this toy for a three to four year old. This toy is currently about $30 but I would say it's worth around $20. Cute and durable but not $30 worth.

    Smaller than I expected
    First off I have to say it was smaller than I expected it to be, but other than that it is what I expected. It come with a boy figure, a girl figure, a monkey, two round ball things, a detachable fence, and an elephant that plays music. The only issue I had was getting the toy separate from the box; I pretty much had to dismantle the box to get the pieces out, but I think that's pretty much par for the course for most toys these days. My daughter loves this. She spends part of her playtime each day putting the pieces back where she wants them (her daddy moves them every night). She started playing with it before I could actually get it completely separate from the box. She likes the little swing and the ramps and the scale-like treetops that she keeps trying to make even. She enjoys making the elephant play music which can be done by pulling the tail, pressing the mouse on its back, or adjusting its head. This is actually a fun toy to watch her play with. She likes to explore all the little nooks and crannies. She moves things. Changes things. It's giving her a chance to explore and change her world. This is a great learning experience toy and I would recommend it to any one with a toddler. It's awesome.

    This toy is absolutely the cutest around! I must admit I was hesitant cause I didn't know how long my children 1 1/2 - 5 years of age would even play with it but wow! They both love it. The elephant is cool because his legs and trunk move. His ears make a clicking noise when you flap them back and forth. His tail is made of some sort of rope that you can tug and there is a little mouse on his back that my daughter is obsessed with pushing so she can hear the fun noises and songs it makes. My son loves to feed the elephant by making the balls fall down into the bin and they both like to put the monkey on the swing or in the treetop above. I like this toy because my kids still get to use their imagination and make up different scenarios for the animals. The set comes with 2 people. A boy and a girl and it doesn't take up a lot of space in the play room. Oh! and apparently playtime doesn't stop there either! You can also buy additional animals and other parts to grow the zoo and double your fun! Last night my husband and I turned off the tv and gathered around the set to play with the kids and it was a hoot! Perfect gift. We'll be purchasing some more animals as stocking stuffers for the kids.

    The Fisher-Price Little People Big Animal Zoo is designed for children ages 1-5 years of age. It features a BIG elephant with movable legs, trunk, ears, and head. There is a small mouse on the elephants back that when pressed makes sounds and plays a musical tune. You can also pull the elephants tail or move the neck to activate sounds as well. It comes with two Little People (the Zookeeper and Mia) to work at the zoo. The tree house has a teeter-totter for the monkey to play on, as well as, a swing that actually swings back and forth. Feeding time at the zoo is a breeze with the tilt platform that rolls the food down into the feeding bin. The big scale doubles as a weigh in and an eye chart to make sure the animals are seeing correctly. With the sliding ruler the animals can be accurately measured by the zookeeper while Mia prepares to help the zookeeper bath the elephant with the hose attachment. This Fisher-Price Little People Big Animal Zoo will keep little hands entertained and teach them hand-eye coordination. This zoo makes for a great pretend play and imaginative story builder. Additional play sets can be purchased separately to add to the zoo fun.

    The elephant is great fun
    This Little People Fisher Price Big Animal Zoo is a fun toy. We really love the elephant, he is quite big and poseable. The elephant makes noises and plays music, you can pull it's tail or move it's trunk and it's makes noises. There is a mouse on the elephants back,when you push on the mouse it squeaks. The play set is a good size, it has a tree swing, the tree is a teeter totter and the monkey figure sits in it,he can be removed. The play set has a tilt platform that you roll two food balls down for the elephant to eat. This play set comes with two figures. I was disappointed that it only has two animals, you have to buy more animals and little people. It comes with one piece of fence, a pretend hose, and food crate. More features are a small attached open ended shed, a pretend animal scale, that opens up. There is also a height measuring scale to measure the animals, the sticker on this was crinkly. This toy was made for three levels of learning ages one to five years old,learn as you grow. Batteries are included. Any child will love playing with this, I just wish it had more people and animals. This is well made and sturdy.
