Fine splinters all through the wood
The surface is not smooth it is full of fine splinters not visible but you can feel it on both sides when you touch it. It was like this when I opened it and I tried scrubbing it but no change. Would not use this for food.

    Love the Bamboo
    Arrived on time. I bought a Farberware Bamboo cutting board 9 years ago from Walmart and it's still holding up great. This one is bigger and I trust it will last long too. It dries very quickly and does not get food stains, for now, time will tell.
