Two sided brush
The bristles on the brush are great. They pick up lots of dog hair and I love the fact that the brush is double sided so that I don't have to use two brushes when brushing our dog or keep having to take the hairs off of one brush.

    Best price for a great product, my cats love it
    Cats absolutely love it, takes care of all the filthy stuff in my long haired cats but also de-hairs the short hairs. Cuts down vacuum cleaning by a half since I have so much less hair flying around. Works on my dog as well, short to medium long coarse fur, most hair I ever got out of him! Since it is flexible it goes nicely along the form of the animal. I use mostly the side with the curved brush as it de-hairs the best. I am using it daily on several animals for 3 month, it does not look any worse for wear, yet. I ordered two more, one for my barn (also good to brush out blankets and pads, and my barn cats will love it!) and one for a friend.

    FURminator Firm Slicker Brush For Dogs, Large
    This brush is what I needed for our long-haired, giant breed dog. There is a bent side you use first and a straight side you use to finish off the coat. This is new to me, but worked perfectly. I do not like that this brush doesn't have a self-cleaning option, it certainly takes getting used to and I would definitely prefer it if this had a self-cleaning button. After the dog was shampooed and completely dried, I gently used this as per the instructions and removed a ton of loose hair. The dog slept though it, so I will happily brush her more often to stop any mats before they start to form and to keep all of that extra fluff off of my floors. It even brushed right through her tail smoothly. I would probably not buy this again, because although it worked well on her coat and I really like the double sided options for brushing, I prefer a self-cleaning button instead of digging the hairs out of the brush with my hands.

    My Ausi, and My Ferminator
    I purchased both the slicker brush and the long hair de-shedding tool by Furminator. As an Ausi owner you probably know that they shed twice a year, once in the Spring and once in the Fall, each shedding season lasting 6 months. With that being said, the de-shedding tool, has drastically cut down on hair vaccumed and swept up tremendously. Getting to the undercoat is the whole success of the product. My wife is happy so " need I say more". The Slicker brush compliments the de-shedding tool, by grooming to that of a professional. A great decision I made.
