Bad threads = worthless filter.
Bought the better quality filter in the silver box, drained oil, removed old filter, filled new filter with oil and lubed the gasket. I could not get the thing to thread onto the tube. I tried for like 5 minutes! I finally gave up and tried the old one which easily screwed on. So I took the old one and kind of rinsed it out a couple of times with clean oil and used it over. What a bummer! I feel like I wasted a jug of oil. I guess I'm going to return the filter with defective threads to Wal-Mart and get my 6 bucks back, but I feel like I need to re-change my oil. Fix your quality control Fram, you owe me a jug of oil and filter!

    Used engine oil filter
    Today I received 2 boxes. One has 2 Bosch, I did check 1 is good. But another box has 2 Fram TG6607 oil filters have unpleasant smells like solvents and have residual oil. Like someone used?
