    a little disappointed

    Malfunctions!
    This item does not work. The first time I plugged it in my computer recognized it. I clicked on the icon, and it asked to put in a disc. I put in a blank and nothing happened. I opened media player to burn an audio disc and the D: drive icon disappeared upon doing so. I removed the disc and re-plugged in the cord. The icon reappeared. I then inserted a disc with data already written on it and clicked it to open. The files did appear. I then removed the data filled disc and reinserted a different blank and clicked on the D: drive icon and it disappeared without asking me to insert a disc. Retrying this over and over I tried to set up a songs to burn list and then insert a new blank disc but I am prompted to insert a blank disc even though a blank is already in the machine.

    Not for me.
    I have many music and data cd's and dvd's. I ordered this because the description said that it could be used for both dvd's and cd's. Everytime I put a cd in it would want to format the cd instead of reading it.
