Evolve by Gaiam Portable Pilates Bar
It took me a while to actually use this as I drive a school bus and with the warm weather, I was just surviving. It arrived in a huge box, which seemed a little over the top for the actual box, but it's all good, it was a nice box. Assembly was a snap, and the instructions are clear. I'm getting into the use of it, and I think I am really liking it.

Accident waiting to happen. Beware.
Took out of the box, assembled and did a basic bicep curl to test band tension and it broke. Looks as if the seam on one of the sides was not sewn properly seeing that there was no tear, loose thread or frayed end. Band snapped and the metal D ring hit my foot.

    A nice addition to my gym
    This is a good quality piece of equipment. It comes in two pieces which are easily attached. The bar is nicely padded so it's easy to grip with sweaty hands. There are straps on both ends to hold with hands or feet for stabilization. It also comes with several pages of illustrated exercises which is very helpful. Easily packable for travel which is a huge plus.

    Must Have Pilates Equipment
    The Evolve by Gaiam Portable Pilates Bar is the perfect accessory for beginners and experienced Pilates enthusiasts alike. It makes working out much easier for beginners since it helps you have more control over certain moves. It will definitely help to strengthen your core faster. The bar measures 3' in length with 2'8" of it being well padded allowing for a firm grip. The bar comes in two sections and is easy to put together and take apart for a more compact transport. The straps are also easy to remove but once attached to the bar properly will not come off during use. This Pilates Bar is well made and sturdy. I definitely recommend adding this to your workout equipment arsenal!

    Excellent toning bar
    This is an excellent addition to a home workout. I'm still inventing different ways to use it, in addition to the several suggestions included in the box it came in. It reminds me of a home pulley system I used to have that was for hanging from a door. The door system was good, until I realized it was messing up the door's alignment. This bar is used freeform, so no concerns about a door. I use the bar system for my arms, back, legs, and rear end. It's versatile and good for toning and stretching. The only thing I'd change is the addition of a second, stronger rubber stretch pulley. The one that comes with it is medium weight, so is for toning. A stronger rubber pulley would help with adding strength. Still, I like it. It adds variety and the bar system seems to be made well enough for home use. It's also fun to find new ways to use it. It's holding up and performing like it should so far. I recommend, but I took a star off for not including a second rubber pelley.

    Awesome little bar
    This is an awesome bar! Use it daily & it has held up to all my exercise positions. Super Lightweight & gets the job done for my pilates & yoga. My friend liked it so much she went & bought her one. Super easy to put together.

    OK pilates bar, but there are better options
    After trying out this equipment, I am hesitant to recommend it. The pros are that it is obviously easy to store, somewhat easy to use and and provides an array of exercises. However, as someone who exercises daily, this would definitely not be my first choice based on the "cons". I found that the end caps will pop off occasionally, even when in the locked position. Based on that factor alone, I wouldn't recommend it. Hopefully this changes in the near future and I'll be able to try it out again.

    Great exercise tool!
    I just started using the Gaiam Portable Pilates Bar and I must say I am already impressed! I've kept up with some walking during this past year of COVID social distancing but unfortunately I've noticed my upper-body strength has suffered due to reduced activity (sitting around watching too much TV). This portable pilates system was easy to assemble and so far I am doing simple arm curls and I can definitely feel the impact on my core muscles. I'm looking forward to trying out some of the suggested routines included with the instruction sheet. It's portable, easy to store and best of all you don't have to leave the comfort of your own home to get a good workout. Give it a try. I think you'll be as impressed as I am with this great exercise tool!

    Easy portable gym
    Loving this pilates bar. It's great for one because it's so simple to use.  You just click it together and you're on your way to lots of toning exercises. I have other stretching bands also but I think the bar makes it easier and better. The bar has a very nice comfortable padding. It comes with two pamphlets with different exercises. It's explained okay but not the best if you like a thorough visual like me. I would prefer to have a dvd but there are lots of videos on youtube.  The exercises quickly show a difference in muscle tone and posture for me. Another thing I like is that the exercises are very easy to do and you get a lot of bang for a minimal amount of body work. It's very easy to store either broken down for portability or keep it put together. It's slim and fits in a corner or closet well. Love it! Everyone needs one of these! It's fun and easy and gives really good results.

    This pilates bar is a good portable item for those persons who are familiar with yoga and pilates exercises. I personally don't, except for beginners yoga, so I really didn't find this item to be useful to me personally, but I am sure someone who does know these things would get good use out of this item, especially since it's very portable.
