Great for beginners
I've never really done yoga but I do enjoy stretching, specially for my back & hips as they do get stiff. This block helps achieve stretches that otherwise would be too hard or even physically impossible for non-yoga or beginners usually wouldn't or couldn't do. It's lightweight and easy to use & position. Perfect for on the go as well.

Gaiam Cork - Sturdy, But Lightweight
This cork block is lightweight (not super heavy) so it can be carried easily to a gym outside the home or to any room in the home. Its dimensions mean that a smaller person would use it to its best potential, but a large man or woman would find it lacking support. It wouldn't support my size so isn't usable. One feature I did like was the rounded corners (more comfortable).

    This Yoga Brick is very sturdy, which makes it excellent for unsteady yoga practitioners. It has a nice weight to it, it helps keeping it steady.     PERFECT!!!
    Love this style of yoga block so much. It is firm, yet soft enough that it doesn't hurt my hands to grip for long periods of time. It is solid and gives excellent support and is the PERFECT size. It is made by Gaiam and created from sustainable cork, This is a huge bonus as cork is natural and biodegradable. I appreciate companies who are plant conscious.

    Sturdy
    For those who use block in their balance poses or on their workout, this block is for you! I do have a few foam ones that seems cheap when compared with this! My foam ones aren't as sturdy and this one, and aren't this solid! So besides being supper sturdy yet soft to the touch it gives balance for my poses and looks pretty on the process. But what I really like it the materials: it is totally earth safe because it is cork!

    A must for yoga/stretching
    This was a lot smoother texture than I expected. It's almost soft, but also has a grip on my mat, carpet and tile floors. It's helped me make some moves easier and others more challenging, depending on what you are doing and how you place it. I will be on the lookout for other sizes of this same item!

    I love everything about this!!! the quality the feel the size the price The cork material is firm enough to hold my body weight (135lbs) in tricky positions. Yet soft enough to not hurt me against my body. It's soft, lightweight, yet sturdy and strong. Easy to grip and handle. Definitely a perfect item!

    If you are looking for a very stable yoga brick this is the one for you. The texture of the brick is easy to grip and has a nice weight. If you are a beginner the brick will help with stabilization with the poses and also help with extra stretching.

    Brick looks to be well made, I like that it is not too heavy but not too lightweight and is sturdy enough to handle your poses. It also feels good in your hands surface nice and smooth but not slippery. Would recommend to anyone.
