Bought as a back up, now use all the time!
I originally bought this because I was away from home for four days and I needed something to pump with. After I purchased this I no longer use my electric pump. I actually prefer to use the manual pump. It's easy to clean and easy to set up. Can use it anywhere. I love it !

Not Worth It
I used this pump once on a trip to the beach and anothr time on a weekend get away. After two separate occassions the valve broke. The pump does not close compleletly and it no longer works. I haven't had this pump for more than a month. Not worth the money.

Upon receiving the Evenflo manual breast pump I immediately washed it and sterilized it and then began to pump. Upon the initial pump I felt a sharp pain each time on each breast that I tried to use it but the pain subsided as soon as the suction was made and I began to manually expressed breastmilk. I was only able to get a few drops in the first couple minutes and continued expressing for about 20 minutes and ended up with just under 1 ounce of milk. This would be a good pump for someone who is traveling in the car and needs to express milk if they're away from their baby, or for somebody who is looking to pump out milk for a milk bath. But if you are looking for a pump for expressing milk with the intention of feeding your baby the milk I would highly recommend investing in an electric breast pump.Katie

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/02/2016Better than the Medela Harmony.In July I purchased the Medela Harmony to use on a long flight at 4 months post partum, and promptly forgot to put it in my carryon so I grabbed this one because well - half the price. It's now November and my Medela PISA is not doing the trick anymore so I've been double pumping with my hand pumps EVERY PUMP and I'm am furious at the lack of quality in the Harmony. Each time I pump, I have to swap back and forth to get all the milk out of both sides. The Evenflo follows the Medela because, frankly, the Medela is not effective. I'm actually headed to Walmart to buy a second Evenflo before I throw the Harmony through my window. If I had something bad to say about the Evenflo, it's a ripper. Use coconut oil to help with the pain :)Merindajs

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/10/2014very effective, easy to use, and portable.I needed a pump for an 11 hour flight I was taking without my son, but i wanted one that was discreet and could be easily used. I was not sure about getting this pump because I had only had electric. I had an expensive Mendela, and an electric evenflo and they both worked great so I thought I would give evenflo another try. It was a life saver. I originally only bought it to use on the flight but it worked so well I used it at work 2-3 times a day because I did not have access to an outlet while out of the country. It was easy to use, easy to clean, and of course quiet. The only issue I had was that if my breast got to full it would be slightly uncomfortable to pump until my breast where no longer engorged. The suction was great and I had no problems pumping and doing everything with one hand. It expressed the milk fast. I got 4-5 ounces in 10 minutes. Excellent product for the price. I keep it now for pumping emergencies.Ary87

I purchased a very expensive tommee tippee breast pump before I had my daughter and it works amazingly but I was panicking when I lost a piece to my pump. The company is amazing and will send out replacement pieces at no cost but they were out of stock of the part I needed and it was going to take them a couple weeks to get me out a new one. My daughter is 7 months old so I knew I had to go buy another pump because I work and was not planning on giving her formula unless it was a last resort. Since I knew this fix would be temporary I didn't want to spend a lot of money. I saw this online and decided to give it a try. I might just have good luck but this thing works great for me. I was a little reluctant because I am used to an electric pump with a let down setting and suction adjustment but this actually gets the job done just as fast if not quicker than my 200.00 dollar pump! If you are looking for something that is easy to clean, effective and very reasonably priced you need to give this pump a try. I'm actually planning to continue using this pump at work so I avoid another lost part for my more expensive pump. The idea of a manual pump might seem "old school" to some like it did to me but it really is great and its much easier to tote around then my electric one which is a little more hefty and has more parts. I had to buy a couple cheap bottles to pump into because you are only given one when you purchase and my tommee tippee bottles are not compatible with this pump # they aren't with very many other brands# but that is a small price to pay for how great it works for me. I have this product over 8 months and its perfect, I would recomend you, just dont wash the litlle part that stretches with warm water becase with the time it will break...buy it without any doubt!Colombiana2

Got to use it a grand total of 10 times before it kicked the bucket, that's with replacing parts. It is a pain to clean, discomforting to use, all around horrible.
