Ego 615 CFM Blower
I am impressed with the quality and performance of the Ego 615 leaf blower. We live in Palm Springs and have three patios with lawn furniture that fill-up with leaves and sand when the wind blows. This blower handles the three patios and the driveway with ease on a single charge. I opted for this model over the Ego 650 because the battery is 2+ pounds lighter with about the same power to clear debris. In 110 degree weather, lighter is better.

Impressive technology let down by poor ergonomics
I expected to like using this blower, but I find it frustrating. The blowing power and the battery system are great. (I already have an EGO chainsaw, so I can swap batteries as needed.) My main complaint is the position of the controls and the lack of a handhold above the center of gravity. The only handle is some distance behind the C.o.G. which means that it is tiring on the wrist when swinging the blower around to point in different directions. My second complain is the lack of any way to disable to trigger switch. The trigger switch is enabled, so it is way too easy to accidentally start the blower when picking it up by the handle, especially as the trigger is at the front of the handle, nearest the C.o.G. which is where I naturally want to pick it up. The power dial on the side is fine, where I can set a constant power level, and that is how I most often use the blower. But again, it is too easy to press the trigger and accidentally increase the power when not wanted. Until such time as I can fabricate an additional handle at the center of gravity, I use a G-clamp as temporary handle. (see my photo). I find it hard to believe that this design passed usability tests (if any).

    Well Designed Tool
    This leaf blower is well made. Love the variable speed air flow. Sometimes you only need a little breeze in a particular area and the trigger switch makes that so easy to do. When the full force is needed, it has good power. I purchased this tool after I purchased an EGO string trimmer (which I think is a great tool as well). Have used it several times already. Will be great to use this fall when the leaves start dropping. Love not having to drag around extension cords like I used to do. Awesome for clearing driveways and sidewalks. Even works great for drying off my car after I wash it. I use a 4 amp-hr battery that was included with my string trimmer and it allows for an even longer run time than a stock 2.5 amp-hr stock battery can provide (but it is a bit heavier). Overall this is a great tool.

    Light weight makes the blower easy to handle.
    The blower is not heavy so it is easy to handle while using it. The EGO+ batteries snap right in. The power of the blower is very strong. Sometimes the blower seems like it does not want to start. It is almost like the motor is stuck or the switch is touchy. It might take a couple of squeezes on the trigger to get it to start. I am not sure if this is a characteristic of the motor or a potential problem with my blower. I will need to use it more to determine for sure. Overall, I am very pleased with the blower.

    Light, powerful and easy to use.
    Does everything I want it to do. lightweight but powerful enough to get the job done. There are numerous places that work to hold the blower with the forward hand and maybe a shoulder strap is available (?) but no obvious handle for the second hand.

    Good First Impression
    I have only had the leaf blower for 1 week but have used it a couple of times. I am impressed with the power of the blower so far. I used it to clean off my back deck and later my front porch. I found the variable speed to be of great help, especially around my wife's potted plants. The real test will come this fall when cleaning up the leaf litter from several oak trees in my back yard but right now I am very happy with this leaf blower and would recommend it.

    Blower has sufficient power for what it is intended to be used for. Great for blowing off decks and the eves on the roof. Machine is a little heavy and the battery will only last for about 35 minutes and starts to degrade the velocity. Overall happy and satisfied.

    For the price forget a gas powered blower
    Excellent blower. Very powerful. Just wish the battery lasted a little longer but s second battery just may do. The charging time is ultra fast though

    EGO blower performs as well as backpack blower.
    I had a major brand name backpack leaf blower and when it needed replaced, I immediately went to my new "go to" EGO. The 615CFM blower has ample power for my needs; approximately a 1 acre lot with driveway. The EGO performed as well as the gas backpack blower if not better. It is a very well designed, ergonomic unit that is very light to use. I have several EGO products and this one fits into my collection without any disappoints.

    Best blower I've owned
    I love everything about this blower. Plenty of power, variable speed, turbo, and plenty of battery life with the 2.5 Ah battery, which also helps keep the weight down.
