Lack of additional slides very disappointing
This is an awesome product! My 3yr 4mo grandson was immediately enthralled and engaged!! He insisted on taking the quizzes on every slide and got the preponderance of answers correct the first time! After going thru the full set of slides he was very disappointed to be doing the same ones over again but still gets a kick over examining the slide contents and wants to make his own slides. Very self-limiting as to use, enjoyment and content. Encourages exploration but denies further means to do so. You could make a mint as well as further encourage and inspire young open minds by having more slide bundles available.

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/27/2022Too advanced for 3+I think 3 year old is too young to enjoy the is fully, slides are hard to place. Also I wish there was more information per slide. Otherwise a decent purchase.Toddler mom

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/07/2021Magnified fun! From the second my daughter saw the box she was excited to play with this! It is brightly coloured and well made, it can withstand use from an eager toddler who can occasionally play a little rougher than you might like, and it can be used as a family activity as well as alone by a child. At almost 3 it can be hard to get her to sit still to focus on anything for long, but she is more than happy to sit looking at and talking about the different slides. Bindi Irwin gives some great facts about each slide which my daughter is picking up on and loves telling people what she has learnt. The microscope has a quiz option which we do not currently use but I feel this will be good in the next few months or so, it will be beneficial to older children who love to test their knowledge. Overall, we love this product, it is educational whilst still being fun. It has 2 eye holes so younger children who have not mastered the art of closing one eye can still play with no issues and the little storage drawer for the slides means we are less likely to lose them!Nicole

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/04/2021Learning through playThis is a great product, really simple to use by my 4yr old boy. The slides have 3 different images of the same creature and easy to select whether you want to hear facts or do a little quiz using the numbers. My little boy really grasped this and able to independently use it himself, though together we shared a discussion as it is really a cool little product for everyone!! Very enjoyable!Nic M

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/07/2020Discovering the world under the microscopeWe've been loving this talking microscope. It's rare that my little one stops and sits still, but with this microscope I think he's been so amazed to look and see what he can see, that he's actually sat and played with it really nicely. He still goes a hundred miles an hour flicking through the slides - "Next one!" "What's this?" "Ah cool!" "Next one!" But it's lovely to see him showing such an interest in the world under the microscope. The binocular style is genius! It makes it so easy to use - he's only 4 years old so hasn't quite mastered closing just one eye. We already have the talking globe, so Brandi Urwin's voice was familiar, friendly and informative. My only slight criticism is it would be good to have a blank slide to put your own bits and pieces on, and a free play setting. We have put leaves and hairs under the microscope without a slide, but with no freeplay setting the talking microscope is asking "are you still there?" And you can't use it switched off because you wouldn't have the light.Katy
