Nostalgia
Love! My 5 year old loves baking with me so we thought itd be fun to get her something she can pretty much do entirely herself. The only downside is the pricey refill boxes! I've been going to Pinterest to try some "homemade" recipes, but we haven't tried them yet.

I can not believe you actually sent out a package this damaged!!!! This is a gift and you actually send me this!! I am returning and will never purchase from you again. Now I am left without a gift because of your lack of professionalism.

Only wish there were more baking pans available for different types of baking. And the boxed kits are rather expensive, it's cheaper to just purchase all the ingredients separately. So we ended up purchasing a recipe book designed for use with this machine so we don't have to keep buying the boxed kits.Leighann

Having two different sides of the oven, one to place the tray for cooking and one to retrieve once the for is done, is confusing for children. Also there should be a build in timer on the oven. There should also be a see through window so the children can see their for being cooked.Jess40

Using real ingredients from our pantry tasted much better but required more supervision and help. A great toy for kids to become confident with measuring and mixing.Penny

Walmart has the best prices but it is deceiving when it says "3 free mixes" because it's just one recipe with three components (brownie cookie batter, icing and sprinkles). Now as a parent and consumer I would have given it 2 stars. Here's why: Got this on sale early for only $28 and I'm glad I did. I already had outside reviews from others who bought it so I knew the "limited" functions it offered. I am aware its a child's device, but for the outrageous price of $56 this thing was originally priced at is (insert cuss word :-) RIDICULOUS! The manufacturers need to do better. You can only bake one item at a time and the treats are so small they can literally fit in my closed fist. And I have small hands. These treats are $6 bucks a pop. Really! The FAKE timer is just that, FAKE. If the instructions saids 9 minutes, then you better make sure it's 9minutes exact or else it's either underdone or burnt. They could have made that timer functional so the bake time and heating time are more accurate. It came with one baking dish. Needed to be at least two and maybe in another shape. It came with one treat, a plus. Should have been coupons inside at $6 a pop for real though. A blue light does illuminate to give a real oven effect.....whoopi...lol!! The other thing that really bothered me was they advertise it as the "star edition". So I expected something better/different from the last version...a mixing bowl/spoon....NOT! Just actual star decals on the outside. REALLY! Overall it was what she wanted. She's 5 and not looking for much, just for food to go in, bake, and eat it. This is advertised for 8 and up. I think an 8 year old would be very disappointed. My recommendations are to be mindful.VI340

My daughter recommended shopping online. Walmart saved the day. Let me also say, it was my first time utilizing this service. Upon walking in the store for pick, I was overwhelmed by the long lines. After getting instructions, I learned the line I needed to be in, had one person ahead of me. Efficient, and painless, I will definitely be a repeat customer.PNut
