It's like playing Russian roulette when purchasing
This is the second time I have tried to purchase a refurbished Dyson fan. It arrived damaged, scratched all up. Remote in horrible condition. Made a horrible screeching sound as soon as I turned it on that later stopped. When trying to pair this to my phone, I found the network ID didn't match what was on the sticker. Tired to call Dyson for help and they can't provide you with the password over the phone. She stated I have to exchange it. So back it goes and I never buy another Dyson product again.

    Wonderful Fan.
Previous Loyal Customer. Love concepts. Price could always be lower. And is was with this one I bought nearly half the price. Took a change and bought renewed. Not bad. I've had this model before but gave it to Mom to enjoy the last years of her life.

Great Fan/Heater Combo Full of Smart Features!
This is a great fan, heater, and air purifier. The fan is powerful when on Jet mode and diffuses when not. I love that you can control it all from the app. I wish that the fan was Apple Home compatible, but it can still be used in Apple Home with HomeBridge. Love this fan so much, this was the second one I've purchased!

Fan force is a little lackluster
I just wish the fan portion reached a further distance for cooling and heating. It's a very expensive device that does a lot but I feel like they could have given it a more powerful fan. You have to sit close to it to feel the airflow. I like being able to track the air quality in my home.

Dyson warms you and cools you, best of conditions.
I have the first original HP01 so I was excited to be able to afford a newer model. These hot cool fans work great. You can change the heat function to warm up a room (bathroom, office) to make it comfortable and cozy. In the summer time you can take the “cool” and cool down a room to get away from the heat. The nice item with the HP02 is it has a HEPA filter to cleanse the air also. Its easy to change the filter. For me it is a lot quieter than a normal fan. The unit I got was a refurbished by Dyson unit. It came with a six month warranty. I bought the extended warranty so I don't have to worry about anything on it. I use the hot cool every day. I feel its worth investing in a more versatile unit that I can use for any condition to keep me warm in winter or cool in summer. Genius idea that is so much more than just a fan pushing air. Love the unit and it helps cuts down on my AC costs so it's a win for me.

    Definitely a great buy
The fan was refurbished but it looked brand new to me. The price was perfect considering how much they usually cost. I've had the fan for a week now and so far no complaints.

    Disappointed
Thought I'd risk buying a refurbished machine, but it didn't work out. I was thrilled to it, but then it had no password for the unit to connect to the wifi. Customer service couldn't help, suggested I return or exchange it. When I contacted the seller so I could exchange it, they said I could only return it. Not what I expected from Dyson. I hope I can put it back in the box correctly. :(

    Terrible product support
Product support was very lacking. The remote did not work, which means you can do nothing with the fan after it is on. I called product support, and they just said take it back to the third party store. Most complicated return ever.

    Great product in great condition
The Dyson HP02 is the perfect fan heater for a bedroom or office. I was a bit skeptical at first ordering refurbished but the item I received was practically brand new. At the price, it is a steal.

    be careful opening
I've had a refurb dyson fan for a couple of years now. Even at the refurb price they cost about 2 or 3 times a normal fan should cost. But, the fan gives me 10 levels so that's not easy to find. Normally fans only come in a few speeds. Anyway, I noticed right off, the fan speed isn't that great. It does have two modes: wide angle and narrow focus (like a regular dyson fan) but in either mode the air movement isn't that great unless it's set to 7 or 8 or above. In milder temps, this might be useful for air circulation but it's summer now. The other dyson fan I have is better suited as a fan. I haven't had this new one long enough to tell if the other features are really worth it. I tested the heat function. My guess is that it will lower my energy bill a bit but won't know for 6 months. As for condition, the outside is in new condition. Put it next to a new one and you couldn't tell the difference. Hopefully I'll get years of use, like the other dyson I got. Are they worth it? I'd say no but I'm getting up there in age where anything I buy will probably outlive me and I have the money for a refurb one so why not. I bought mine at more than half the new price so I'm ok with that. But can you get cheaper and the same features, sure. IMO, if you're looking for a fan, pass unless 10 speeds is appealing. A fan with heat, sure, maybe. An air filter, who knows. I've used several air filters over the years and none work that well. Besides an air filter is basically a fan with a filter on the air inlet so how well they work depends on the filter and how much air it moves and this one, not so much, imo. Should be just as easy to clean though as my other dyson. Get yourself an air blower and take outside once a month or so depending on use. My main reason for this review is to warn about the packaging. Came in a plain cardboard box, probably direct from dyson. Ok, no problem. There weren't any markings. It was a plain cardboard box but getting it opened was a challenge because somehow they used glue on the flaps you would normally undo to open the box. I had to use a flathead screwdriver to pry open the box and you have to be careful not to damage the fan in the process. I've never seen that before. Normally the flaps are taped shut, if at all. I also want to complain about the remotes, hoping dyson is reading this. The remotes that come with these are incredibly small and difficult to lose, or at least misplace. What are they thinking. I own two dysons and both have this dumb docking feature that's practically the worst idea. I mean, they allow you to dock the remote on top of the fan. Makes sense if you're not using it because they are so small, putting it on top of the fan makes sense but absolutely bonkers if your using the fan. Why have a remote at all that you walk over to the fan to operate? And pay 4 or 5 hundreds dollars for such a fan too?
