Dnatraps prove their worth
I currently use 5 DYNATRAP DT2000XL insect traps and continues to purchase them as they are extremely effective in the elimination of an assortment of bugs including mosquitoes. I have acquired several for my sister and brother-in-law's cabins at the lake and they couldn't be more pleased with the results that make their cottages even more pleasant to sit outdoors.

Disappointed!
Very unhappy. It has been running for about 2 solid weeks and there aren't even a handful of bugs in the trap. Extremely disappointed! SAVE YOUR MONEY

    So far so good but really too early to evaluate!
    Only have had it for a week but it is catching a lot of flying bugs. I have noticed a definite reduction in moth types already however I do not know yet about the biting types like mosquitoes, gnats and no see ums.

    This item was shipped in its retail box, which doesn't hold up to shipping well at all. On its first startup, there was an awfully rattle. After a partial disassembly, The fan was seated properly and it ran very quietly. This unit is an absolute moth annihilator. It might get mosquitoes as well, as there seem to be fewer. The old mosquito magnet was way more effective, but a replacement was 3X to 8X the cost of this unit. This trap is much less maintenance. I've only had to move it twice to find a good spot.

    So far, so good!
    I live in South Dakota in a heavily mosquitoed area.......I put this trap out in Mid-April and it seems to be capturing a LARGE number of bugs.......I have got to think at this point, it has got to help at a drastic level, just seeing after 2 weeks and thousands of bugs. Should curb the "hatch" season quite well!

    I bought a second one.
    I have recently bought a second one. I live in a marsh that is well guarded by mosquitos. In my garden, before I had the unit I was swarmed with mosquitos routinely. I will spare you the description. As so many reviewers said, I had my doubts but by the end of the first week of continuous use I had a noticeable decrease in mosquitos in my back yard and garden and by two weeks I was ready to buy another one for near my front door. I like very much that it is low maintenance, just plugs in, and appears to be very effective. I have not seen bees in it, which makes me happy, although it traps a few moths and june bugs. I can enjoy my yard much more now. I am very pleased.
