Convenient and effective
I have a large fireplace so the wood I burn are large logs to accommodate size of fireplace and I was having a difficult time getting wood to catch being so large, I found that putting a few small pieces of wood/kindling then set one of the fire starters on top of that then large logs on top so fire starter in middle of that. Use a long candle lighter to reach in and light fire starter works like a charm. My firewood is hickory which takes longer to catch and these fire starters get the job done. I will keep these on hand as they make easy work of fire starting.

    Best product for starting a fire!
    This fatwood is perfect for starting a fire in my fireplace. The pieces are the perfect size and easily ignite. It only takes two or three to start logs in the fireplace and have a roaring fire in no time. I like this so much better to help start a fire than anything else. Alsways extremely satisfied with these fatwood starters.

    Inexpensive, easy to light, stores well.
    These Duraflame fire starters get the job done. They light easily and burn long enough to get either briquette or lump charcoal started within about five minutes. But, just because it's "all natural" doesn't mean you want any of that pine pitch smoke on your food, so wait until the Fatwood stick has burned itself out completely before any putting food on the grill.

    Really starts a fire!
    Finally, a fire starter that is nearly fool proof! I use 2 sticks to start a fire and it even worked on iced and wet firewood. Amazing! I wasn't home when it snowed and didn't get the wood covered, so it was deeply covered in snow and ice. These did the trick, every time!!

    what a wood!
    I cant get enough of these! This is my 7th box. I am stocking up! Duraflame said how it works on the box AND it works just like it. We have tried every body else including lighter fluid. This is exactly what a dried out tree root does. It totally smells like lighted, feels like it and lights like it!! No foreign smell, doesnt kill my food when cooking and I dont have to use more than 2 to light up my heater stove, a grill or even my burn pit! It's great!!
