Both boxes were really dented in and cake mix was all in the bottom. Totally unusable and had to be thrown away.

    Disappointed
    This was my first time purchasing the french vanilla. I thought it would taste better than the regular vanilla. I was wrong and disappointed. I didn't like the texture or taste of it.

    MOIST, MAKES CAKE NICELY
    Moist mix. Cooks well and makes up into cake well. French vanilla flavor is a bit deeper flavor than regular vanilla taste, more body. This is a subdued taste even so and needs a splash of something more to keep it off the insipid list. I put white chocolate icing drizzled over the top for a nice flavor combo.

    My favorite Cake
    I add a few extra things but this cake is just so good if you're a fan of vanilla I definitely recommend this. S/n use Betty C Vanilla icing they go good together.

    Duncan Hines is a name brand cake mix, but compared to 2 other name brand cake mixes (not sure I mention the other 2 because they are good cake mixes also) just that Duncan Hines is the most moist cake. Quality is good and the cake mix looks fresh out of the box, easy to follow instructions, there is nothing abnormal of regular use, simplicity is easy even by hand if you don't have a blender to mix with, stirring with wooden spoon vigorously mixes the mix well, and the taste is great!

    No longer the perfect French Vanilla recipe
    I've been purchasing the French Vanilla mix to use in my bakery for years & was my favorite. Opened a recently bought case to make my granddaughter's birthday cake for her party & hugely disappointed that the distinctive bean specks were gone. New formula is as bland now as the yellow & was a noticeable difference among the party goers who are used to my cakes. Even my granddaughter was disappointed & she's five. I've used DH mixes for over 30 yrs but will now have to find a new brand & French Vanilla somewhere else.
