Disappointed
Despite good reviews on saveur, this toaster's performance did NOT match the results that they reported. We have an older toaster that works, but toasts one side of the bread slices darkly and the other side of each is very light. After reading reviews, I thought it might be worth a try to get a toaster that toasted evenly on both sides of the bread slice. That was my goal with this purchase. Instead, this toaster did even worse than the one I have now in that regard. We were very disappointed, so we have returned the toaster for refund. Sorry, Cuisinart, but you didn't get it right.

    Efficiency and Even Toasting
    All four slices are toasted evenly, and to the same brownness. The dials work properly and everything stays even. My only complaint is the shell and pieces. It is so light, and just doesn't have the heft I want. Plastic is plastic. Neither here nor there, though, as it works well.

    Disappointing Toaster
    I like this toaster but cannot give it a higher rating. It is compact, very pretty, and it functions. Toasting is uneven, so I reverse the position of the bread halfway through toasting. Prior to this one, I had an 11 year old Cuisinart brushed stainless model. When in Bagel mode, it toasted one side of the bagel. This one is plastic, and toasts both sides, even in Bagel mode. I would not recommend this toaster.

    Ok Toaster
    It's an ok budget toaster. It toasts reasonably well, although all slots don't toast exactly the same. The control knob to set the toasting level moves too easily, so it's easy to bump the knob and move it to a different spot from your 'perfect' toasting setting.

    Uneven toasting
    The toaster looks good and is very easy to use. The problem is it doesn't toast the bread evenly. One side is toasted fine and the other side is hardley toasted. I end up having to turn the bread around and toast twice at a lower setting. I have adjusted the settings but it didn't help.

    Cute but need to resign bagel button
    Loved the looks of the toaster but the bagel button heats both sides of a bagel and that just shouldn't be. Sent it back. Almost all toasters are being made this way now. I got a discontinued model of this. The only one I could find that toasted bagels on cut side only.

    Pretty, easy to use, toasts evenly
    Beautiful, very simple to use. White plastic toaster is very pretty and is not hot to the touch. Love the compact size. Toasts great. Use it for my frozen potato patties (put on number 7 and toast twice. Comes out perfect). Dual settings are perfect. Cord is from behind so it can be hidden out of site. There are 2 removable crumb trays in the back of the toaster which make cleaning very very easy. Highly recommend.

    Uses constant power
    It made a low noise while plugged in. I Believe it was due to the digital display and settings requiring constant power ... I returned it because of the unnecessary energy use
