Neat idea with the cover attached!
Absolutely love this slow cooker!! The lid stays on top and the counter does not get dirty from the lid when you take the cover off. Had issues with the heat staying on, but otherwise very happy! It is rather small compared to some of my other crockpots, but fits well in the fridge due to its smaller size, even with the lid on.

The top for the crock pot came dented and it's suppose to be brand new.

    Nice little slow cooker
Arrived with a dent on the outside. I was able to gently finagle the thin metal and pop out some of the dent. Used it to cook red beans, which turned out great. Will make soup today. The digital control is only able to be set in 2 hour increments. Wish there was a slow cooker that could be set on high for an hour then automatically lowered to low for the remaining time. Perhaps I'm asking too much. All in all, I would recommend this slow cooker.

    Crock-pot
I like the fact that I can lift the lid and not have to look for a space to put it. It just raises. I also like the heat control and time buttons.

I don't believe this is a NEW Crock Pot!
received yesterday, opened the box just now and the bottom is dirty and has two cracks ! :( Cant say anything further about the crockpot because like I said, I literally just removed it from the box.

    Perfect for two people
Great crock pot. I read mixed reviews about the function but the one I received switches to Warm as soon as the selected cook time has passed. I did a test run of a recipe I made at least once a month in my previous pot. It cooked well on high for 4 hours, as soon as the 4 hour mark hit it automatically switched to Warm and my liquids stopped boiling within in a minute. Perfect for a couple. Lid seals well and is easy to remove and clean. Highly recommend

I bought a new Crock Pot after the old one stopped working, it was 3 1/2 years old and stayed with a name I'm use to. The 4.5 qt is good for making a complete meal for 3 to 4 people. The new feature of a hold on lid is a plus to check on the meal while it's cooking. Yet you're still able to remove the lid completely if you need to. I find the base to be wobbly and unstable. Not smart when you're cooking a entire meal. I wish Crock-Pot had marketed a 4.5 size slow cooker with a automatic countdown timer, then a pre-programmed one. It leaves me guessing how long it will take for my meal to be completely done on high or slow settings. As for original features. It still has the original stoneware crock pot you can remove from the base if you have leftovers needing to be stored in the fridge. The dark base does not get too hot. I give it a 3.5 rating

You can't go wrong with the Crockpot brand!
This crockpot was ordered for a wedding shower gift. I have the same model at home and love using it. The controls insure that nothing is overcooked and dried out.

Turned out to be wrong size.
It's a very nice crockpot, but it's actual capacity is more like 8 qts. I already have a similar sized crock pot, so I returned this and found one that is more like what I was looking for. I don't know why they advertise this with a downrated capacity.

    Perfect Programmable Crockpot!
So I sent my favorite one with my daughter to college which was very similar to this one and I bought this as a replacement. It is not quite the picture that is on the website but works the same. I will only buy programmable slow cookers because of the automatic change from cook to warm after the time is up. It worked perfectly. This one is a smaller one but will still hold a whole chicken and cook it until it falls off the bone. I really like the lid because you can take it off very easily if you are serving buffet style or keep it on if you want to just lift it up for the family. I did make sure to seat the lid firmly when cooking to make a good seal. One other positive is that the outside didn't get hot except at the very top around the metal. I highly recommend this product!

    Why I chose this item.
This is for my granddaughter to take to college and hasn't been used yet. I chose this for several reasons: size, programmable, and the attached lid. Being a slow cooker user myself, I feel I know what to look for when choosing for a college student with limited experience. The extra star may well be given once the item is put to use.
