Very well made and dry---many nice features
An experienced camper here---mid 60's and have been tent camping since age 10. Have several high quality back pack size tents for motorcycle camping but wanted a family size tent for car camping with the grand kids. Spent several weeks researching before I selected this tent...searched all brands, but ultimately was sold on this tent because of the screen porch, overall ratings, and positive reviews on this site and others. Bought on line at sale price of $108 and free shipping to the store. Very well packaged. the tent and all other parts came packed into a box, then the box was packed into the duffle case, and the duffle was packed into another heavier box. Also purchased a 9x12 ground tarp---a near perfect fit, the tent over hung the sides 6" and the front and back about 8". In addition, bought 8 of the 9 inch nail type spikes for more secure hold in windy conditions...Folks, you just cannot rely on those little wire stakes that come supplied for any thing, except maybe tacking down the 'doormat' which comes with this tent. Did test run in my back yard...set it up for a full weekend, with rain in the forecast. By myself, the tent itself went up in 15 minutes...it took another 15 minutes to put up the rain fly cover, but half of that was spent untying the neatly rolled up guy lines. Overall the fit was snug but not overly tight. Full tub floor all the way around except for screen porch, 2 large mesh pockets in sleeping area, over head loop for a lightweight lantern, good zippers, lots of windows (including one in door and another beside door, and both sides. As noted in other reviews, the back window is half the wall and there is no zip flap but the rainfly completely covers it. The rainfly is nicely designed and overhangs the side windows to let air in and keep rain out. There are several velcro fasteners on the rain fly that allow you to fasten it to the tent's fiberglass poles, plus the guy lines and clips at 4 corners. Interior height? I am 5'8" and can stand up straight in the center of this tent. Rain was forecast the first nite---I solved the wet porch problem but pulling up the 2 front stakes and pulling the porch floor next to the body of the tent. Rained 6 hours and no rain on porch or inside slleping area. Simple to exit tent and pull porch back out. The second nite it was not supposed to rain so I did not put porch away---there was a brief cloudburst that lasted 5 minutes...yes it got water inside the porch but the next morning it was easy to drain it out through the mesh drain in the floor. Again, not a drop in the sleeping area, even with all the windows fully open and unzipped. I am very impressed with the construction and quality of this tent. Well thought out, easy to set up with color coded sleeves and rods. Porch big enuf for 3 chairs or 2 chairs and a table...will be easy to add a tarp over the porch when items are stored there overnight. I used a queen and twin inflatable beds with room to spare. Great choice for 2 adults and 2 children...even a dog or two on the porch. Take the whole family, or treat yourself and one other person to a camping palace!

Excellent tent
This tent is a great buy. It is well made, has great air flow, the bottom is made from sturdy material. The porch is the best feature. It was big enough to place two camping chairs and a small trunk. The only two things I was not crazy about was the rain flap not covering the porch entirely, so if it rains everything on the porch would get soaked. The other thing is the seam of the bottom between the porch and the tent appears to be possibly a weak spot. The bottom tarp is stitched so it creates a 2 inch lip all around the tent to prevent water from seeping in ( which is great), however the lip does go all the way around and when you so in and out of the tent you cannot help but stepping on it and I would fully expect the fabric or the stitching to give in after a few uses.

Canopy and size make this ideal
I bought this is seeking out a moderately sized tent with a mosquito free canopy area. It also comes with a great rain fly which has been effective. I especially like the feature where the rain fly overhangs the windows so you can have them open when it is raining. The only downside is that rain can come into the canopy area since it is not fully covered by the rain fly. There is a separation between the canopy and the main tent, so the sleeping area does not get wet. It is large enough to accommodate three people comfortably and their gear.

Easy set up and love the screened porch with floor
This was just the tent I was looking for. I thought set-up was pretty straightforward. I'm a 60 year old 5'2 female and set it up in about 20 minutes. Next time I would throw the rainfly on before erecting the two frame poles, as it was a little challenge to get it over the top once it was up. Set it up in backyard for a trail run. Had a pretty significant downpour shortly after set-up. I staked the screen area up under the rain fly and watched the water just bead off. No water inside even with windows open. No problems getting it back into the bag after I compressed the air out. Wish the bag was a few inches wider, but truly no issues getting it all back in. Will wait for fall to do some true camping in it. Plan to set my dogs in the screen area during the day's I'm off hiking. Think it's a very good value for the money. What I would typically spend for one nights hotel room. Also plenty of head room to stand up. Do wish it had the storage hammock on top, but the lantern clip will suffice.

    Good deal!
I've been in many tents that claim to be "6 person" they all seem to fit 2 people plus bedding and backpacks comfortably but I wouldn't expect to get more than 3-4 adults into this tent without being VERY close. I was able to disassemble the tent myself in under 15 minutes and put it up with minor assistance in about 20 minutes. Once unpacked, it was pretty much impossible to get it all back into the carrying bag so I'm going to have to get a plastic tote to keep it all in. Kept us dry from the rain the entire trip. All in all a great purchase, especially for the price.

    Awesome tent!
Awesome tent. Really pleased with the size and the additional piece to hang out and steer clear from the mosquitoes and dry your feet before you enter inside the tent. Feels like we're hanging out in a living room. I would recommend this tent for anyone camping on a budget. The set-up was a little tricky at first only because the tent was new to us, but easy to remember for the next time we use it. Very easy to breakdown as well.

    Love it!!
Went camping at Sherman dam reservoir in Loup city Nebraska. This is a wonderful tent as it poured rain with wind one night we were there. Yes there was water inside on the tarped floor of the screen which is to be expected it's a screen. I like that the tarped floor screen area has maybe 2 inches of screen on the floor at the front of it so we simply lifted that tarp and it drained out the front screen. The tent itself was not wet and withstood the wind. Very simple to set up with just two people and I think I could've done it myself and I'm a 56-year-old female. There is NO room for two queen mattresses unless you're just diving into sleep. We used one queen leaving approximately a bit over 2'on each side of the bed maybe a foot and a half at the end of the bed. Plenty of head room for a 6' person to stand up also. Two lawn chairs fit inside the screen area. Overall great tent !!

Held up to .75 inch of Rain in 30 minutes
Bought this for my family of 4. Fits two single self inflatable mattresses and well as a queen inflatable with some room for storage. Well ventilated, and while it can be put up with one person, two make it so much more easy. We've spent a total of 4 three day stays in it. So far it's holding up just fine. We camped in the Okefenokee in GA, and ended up getting .75 inch of rain in a little over an hour. It really came down. Inside stayed bone dry. Don't let the covered canopy fool you. While it keeps the bugs up and provides a nice place to sit, it offers no real rain protection (to be fair its not advertised that it does.) Perfect starter tent for a family. We love ours.

    Great tent for the family
Great tent, easy to set up. Might be a challenge to do by yourself, because there are only three very long poles used to set it up. Love, love, love the screened in area. Gives you a chance to takes shoes off and get dirt off your feet before stepping into the tent. Plenty of room for the six of us ... two adults and 4 kids (ages 6-13). Lots of ventilation to ensure good airflow.

    Great tent
This is a great tent for the price. It was easy to set up and has plenty of room. My husband and I took it this past weekend and were very pleased with it. The instructions were a bit vague, but we figured it out quickly. The screen porch was just right for 2 chairs. It rained while camping and we were pleased with how well the rainfly did its job. I would recommend this tent to anyone wanting a good tent for a good price.
