Buy this one!
Used as a hand washing station for a camping trip. Great quality! The spigot has continuous flow and turns off/on. Holds a lot of water. Rinse out before use, some plastic from manufacturing. Would use for drinking purposes as well. Note that this container can loose pressure after repeated use- just pop open the carb cap and your pressure is restored. This really is a great product.

Surprised with such poor quality, spigot leaks
They look beautiful and they are made in the USA but the spigot leaks. I just bought this item and couldn't wait to try it. We washed it then took it to the water mill to get filled. After we filled it we put the spigot back on. When you place it downward to use the spigot and pour yourself a glass the spigot automatically starts leaking. We checked and there is a rubber seal on the inside that is supposed to prevent leaking however it does not. I guess I can only use this to store water.

    Look elsewhere
These do the job but the spigot is too small and is very easy to overtighten and jump the threads. I purchased two and one is already leaking. Better options for the price.

Great Container with weak Faucet Assembly
This is an old favorite in my camping gear, but the "redesigned" Faucet Assembly is weak at best. The original version of the faucet lasted 15 + years of rugged use, the container itself is STILL in great shape! However, the latest version has to be handled with extreme care or the faucet twisty handle will break off easily within weeks. The plastic is too thin at that point and will not stand up to anything above delicate use. Please bring back the old faucet design and you will have a customer for life!

    Sturdy, looks good
I will be using this for long-term water storage. I have already rinsed in and put in a 50/50 mixture of Rubbing Alcohol and water -swished it all around, emptied it then turned it over to dry. (some people use bleach/water but I have found that a mixture of rubbing alcohol is great for sanitizing my kitchen cabinets, etc. (got that information from a doctor -they usually use 100% rubbing alcohol though for their instruments, chairs, cabinets, etc.) I will be filling this up with water and adding a Water Treatment because I do not want to have to empty & replace the water every month or so. I put a 4 star because it would be nice if the water spout could be turned over to the inside but I will just cover with a bag because I do not want dust, etc. getting all over it.

    It could have been PERFECT
This item is very strong, easy to carry and a good price. However I feel it would have been great if it had a clear transparent strip running down the length so that one could monitor the amount of water left, and or how much more water to add before it spills out. That would be the only reason why I did not give 5 stars.

    New to Coleman
First I wanted a collapsible container but many of Colemans weak so I went with the hard plastic. Best thing I can say about this is that its not thin plastic, the spout is cheesy but very functional. The spout can be inverted when not in use to protect it during storage. When in use with the vent cap open, it allow s a steady controlled stream without wasting water all over the place. If you leave the vent close the stream is just enough to allow you to drink from it like a water fountain which is nice if you have a pet or lazy kids. Naturally once you fill it, its heavy. Guys don't leave this to your wife or kids to fill or carry. Its rugged enough that it stood up to 3 racoon attacks without be dragged away, dent, or punctured. Recommend you clean with baking soda to keep plastic smell out during storage

    Great Water Cans
I tried the Ozark Trail Desert Patrol 6-Gal Water Jug first. It was shaped nice and narrow and with a larger spout opening, but it seemed too flimsy or thin walled and too heavy with the 6 gallons. The vent plug also was cheaply designed and not built to last in that I read that it would leak over time. I think this Coleman 5 gallon jug is not too heavy and just right for carrying one or two jugs at a time. It is also of a thicker plastic.

    Great size, easy to handle
I couldn't believe we could still get these because we have had our first one so long so we grabbed another one. Coleman put a great non-slip surface on this so it's easy to handle when setting in place. Before we took it camping we put warm water and some lemon juice in it overnight to get the new plastic smell and taste out of it.
