seems to work fine, but I was disappointed it didn't have an "off" button. Besides using up the solar battery, the display is going to get a 0 burned into it.

    This calculator was shipped in the same box with several gallons of oil. It survived! The calculator has a hard case and is very nice. Much nicer than I expected for the price. Seems to work great. I am still surprised it survived the shipping process!

    Takes a Lickin' and Keeps on Tickin'
    I bought one for my daughter when she was in middle school. There is no better solar powered scientific calculator on the market for the price. It took a licking and kept on ticking with its sturdy plastic construction. The fx-260 was in her mathematical toolbox for all the math and science courses through high school. It was easy for her to use, as everything is laid out on the keyboard. There are no hidden menus. The instruction manual is helpful as it clearly explains the keystrokes for advanced functionality, like data entry.

    A calculator for everyday! My students love the fx-260 Solar II! It can handle simple calculations, trigonometry, logs, exponents and other advanced functions. When my students need a calculator that does it all and they do not need natural display, the 260 Solar II is the best. The solutions are displayed in decimal format.

    At first sight, this calculator looks like any other, but it can perform operations with mixed numbers and fractions. You can even put in exponents. I love that I never have to worry about using batteries. The screen is very bright for a solar calculator.

    Most Lightweight Scientific Calculator I've Found
    I like to keep a scientific calculator on me all the time (backpack, etc.) This is the lightest one I have found. I love it! With so little weight I barely notice it, yet it can do exponents, trig, logs, and even combinations and permutations. Solar powered to boot!
