What a great storage solution!
I was looking for extra storage for vacationing without breaking the bank. Boy does this cargo bag fit the bill! I would definitely recommend a mat to protect your vehicles paint job. It stored quite a bit and I'm excited to use it on our frequent road trips. It's a high quality, heavy duty fabric with string straps and a great waterproof zipper!

Straps were missing - delayed my trip
Very unhappy! Purchased this the day before a trip from the West Coast to the Midwest, spending 1.5 hours driving to and from the nearest Walmart that had the carrier in stock. When I got home and took it out of the box, the buckle straps were missing. This ended up delaying my trip as it was too late to get straps elsewhere that night. Then I had to spend more money the next morning buying straps at Home Depot since it was closer. I emailed customer service but no response. They should at least reimburse me for the straps. So buyer beware. I see now that other reviewers had the same issue.

    This item was a great purchase . Held up well on 600mile trip with the straps it came with ! We brought extra straps with us just in case after reading the reviews but we didn't need them, and didn't have to adjust . 15cubic ft fit two small suitcases , beach trolley, large storage bag with clothing . Secure well , have a safe trip ! GREAT PURCHASE FOR THE PRICE

    Highly recommend
    This was incredible! We needed it on our trip back home from vacation because we shopped way too much and we absolutely loved this! It holds soooo much more then the hard ones because it is flexible and forms to whatever you need to add into it! and I had zero issues with weather or tampering on our 4 day drive home! We are very grateful for this purchase! We did purchase our own straps at the recommendation of other reviews.

    I was headed from one state to another I thought that it would hold but the seams did rip very easy and during the trip I had to keep trying to tape it so my items would not fall out while driving. it does not hold up and high winds.

    Nice quality thick material. Straps worked, took some effort by my tall daughter for first use (about 30 mins) next time will be easier. It added good space for suitcases. Advise check measurements of what you expect as I did not and it is not as long as I expected, but worked fine.

    Great bag - replace the straps NOW
    I've taken this bag on five 900 mile trips now and here are my observations: 1. The included straps are very cheap, make SURE to buy two or three real cargo straps before your first trip. 2. The bag is waterproof in all but the heaviest storms, just ensure the flaps are folded over the zipper and secured with the velcro. 3. Packing the bag takes some practice, but i suspect it would be the same with any soft bag.

    less than 2 hours into a trip.and we lost everything. this cargo bag was secure as could be. straps busted and i lost over $500 in my childrens Christmas stuff. dont buy.

    1500 mile Florida trip including rain...success!
    Bought this for a trip 750 mile trip from Richmond, VA to Orlando, FL and back. We drove down through rain about 2/3 of the trip, although not heavy enough to slow us much most of the time. I was worried, but there was no problem. The material is thick. When closed, the zippers form some kind of seal such that it doesn't look like water would get in. Additionally, the zippers meet in the back of the unit and the whole zipper is covered by a cover that folds down in place held by hook/loop. No water got in at all. There is a slight angle on the front which probably creates less drag and thus better mileage although I have no way of knowing since this was a rental car. We loaded it on the ground, then lifted it on top of the vehicle since the vehicle was so large (Lincoln Navigator). Once on top, we had only side rails so we attached the 4 straps across it, through the provided holes. It was very secure. There were loops for the front/back too, but we didn't have a front or rear rail but never felt like it was not secure with just the straps attached to the side rails. All in all, exceeded my expectations and, given the rain, I'm happy we purchased it versus some of the cheaper options which didn't look like they had the extra water protection.
