Best purchase!
My husband bought these watches for our 7 and 9 year old for Christmas. The kids absolutely love them--watch has smart features perfect for their ages. And the product has given us great peace of mind when they are outside playing. Really like they can call our cell phones from their watch. Will be very useful this summer during family outings, would def. recommend to anyone. It's a must-have for any child and parent!

Warranty is no warranty at all!
If you have an active child (or a child for that matter!) I HIGHLY suggest considering another product. This child GPS has such a limited warranty, that it does not make sense to give the watch to a child. The GPS is quite erratic, shows that my son is in several houses near ours, when the watch is sitting on the charger. I called the frustrating customer service line and was told that someone would contact me about the problem soon. I received an email (in timely fashion, I will concede) that was just an excerpt from the FAQ page THAT DID NOT ANSWER my question. So I called again, finally receiving an email that addressed my problem. I was to expand the home area. One problem, my child's roaming restrictions fall into this area. Therefore the watch was not useful. But this is not the only reason for my discontent. My son had used the watch for ~20 minutes on two separate occasions. The watch fell off of his wrist on the second occasion because the pin holding the clasp together was improperly inserted. The entire watch fell as he was riding his bike and the watch face shattered on the curb. I contacted (responses always only through email, no ability to actually TALK to someone!!) customer service (which seems to be just one person, Jesse). I was told that the warranty does not cover face damage. I insisted that the fault was with the manufacturing and that a problem there SHOULD be covered under any warranty. Five email responses , several voicemail messages left on my part, one voicemail from Jesse with the incorrect call back number!, and many emails received with more excerpts from the FAQ page that did not apply to my situation, and the final outcome is that CAREF does not stand behind their product! I was told that it was my child's fault and therefore I could purchase (at regular internet price) a new one. Of course I could purchase a new one but why would I? Customer service is terrible, the GPS is too sensitive (received 16 alerts that my 10 year old left and returned to the house between 2 am and 4 am!!), and the warranty is no warranty at all! My suggestion to any that are considering this product, think very carefully about how active your child is, what your home range will be (city or suburban areas are too dense for a couple blocks radius), and how much do you want to spend time and time again after your child falls and cracks the face-plate.

    Eh.
The gps/phone parts works great. The problem is the wrist band. It breaks after about 1month of use. Our 9yr old has gone through 4 of these now. The manufacturer wants $25 for a new band. We just get the protection plan and get the whole thing replaced.

    Gps watch is great
It's a great product, the instructions could be less Confusing like explaining the different plans more clearer. But other then that it works perfect right out of the box. Really cool watch!!!

    Amazing functions
The watch is pretty cool with all it does, however, the wrist clip came off about 3 days after we had it almost lost the watch when it fell off my daughters arm.

This is the worst product ever!!
I am so sad I had such high hopes for this product and my 7 year old daughter wanted it and loved the look of it so much. We first hoped it was a phone watch that a child could use as a phone at least to call 3 or 4 numbers. It really only calls 2 numbers which is disappointing enough. But the real issue is this product just has 0 battery life and it will not hold a charge. You make one phone call and it is done. It says it is a security device not really a phone watch which was disappointing but then to see that it will not hold a charge long enough to be anything at all because the GPS does not work when the battery goes down is so upsetting. If I was in a serious situation I would have about 15 min if my child did no try to call me then the phone goes black and less time if she tries to use the call feature. I would pay twice as much or even 3 times as much for a product that worked and was small and fit like this. The other ones from ATT on the market are so large and heavy a 7 year old girl can not keep them on her arm at school. I am so frustrated! Children need a watch with the features it lies and says it has and also voice to text which none of them seem to have. Most important is a reliable battery that last like a normal phone that you charge once a night not once a phone call.

Excellent Product for my Autistic Adult Son
This is our second Caref watch. (The first one went for an accidental swim!) My adult son who has Autism loves to walk in the woods behind our house. We now can track his every move and allow him the freedom to go for walks without the fear of getting lost! How I wish this were around when he was young because he would wander away from home! This is an AMAZING, life altering product for us! Plus it is just $10 a month and no geofence is needed!

    Very nice
I am a Walmart customer and can tell you this is a brilliant idea. The perfect gift for every parent now u can hear your child, find your child anytime anywhere. Easy to set up and to use and it has a nice charger too. Kind a reminds me o the knight rider show.

    OK, but...
Got this product as a Christmas present for my 9 year old son who walks home from school daily with his older brother. So far it has been an asset, the call feature works great in our area. The boys love being able to call me and get permission to hang with friends or stay after-school to work on projects. I like being able to text them when they are late and have them call me to tell me where they are. It would be even better if I could check the app to see where they are physically but the GPS leaves a lot to be desired. It is supposed to update every 5 minutes, but it will go hours without getting an accurate location. However, my biggest complaint about this product is the cheap materials it is constructed from. I realize that the manufacturer wants a competitive price on this product, but these products are for young kids and need to be made tough. It is just a matter of time before my son destroys the watch band and the latch due to the cheap material and shoddy construction.

    T-Mobile
I saw a couple reviews from customers saying that you shouldn't purchase this if you have T-Mobile because the SOS function wouldn't allow the unit to send Emergency message to the three Emergency contacts (as advertised). Let me explain: When a child hits the SOS button, it immediately calls the first number (ex: Mom), but if Mom doesn't pick up, then it's supposed to go to a second number (ex: Dad). But if voicemail picks up on Mom's phone before 45 seconds, it will never call number two. The company adjusted the setting in the Caref watch so now the watch will immediately call number two (Dad) if number one (Mom) doesn't "pick up" in 23 seconds. This firmware fix was made when the issue was discovered. Their are still some units in inventory with the old firmware so if customers have this issue, they will simply swap out your unit at no charge. The phone number for customer service is 844-kidsgps.
