Couldn't Assemble It
I had high expectations for this bench, based on other reviews. It was to be a gift for my wife, who had asked for a bench for her birthday. Unfortunately, I wasn't ever even able to put it together, as the parts did not fit properly. Specifically, I could not screw the backrest into the backrest supports. The pre-drilled holes weren't even close to parallel on the two bars (see photo); making it impossible to get the 4 screws in. I contacted CAP to get a replacement part, which they did send. However, it was a slightly different, shorter part that ended up not working either (although not as badly obvious as the first part). I contacted CAP again, but have yet to get a response the 2nd time, so I now need to either machine out the holes myself or return it to Walmart. I will say, the bench does seem to be of pretty good quality, but that doesn't matter of the parts don't fit together. Perhaps CAP needs to review their quality control. Customer service seemed good at first, but completely disappeared after that. I understand that there will always be bad units for any product out there, but after going 0 for 2, I wouldn't but from this company again.

Holes do not align. Cuts in fabric.
I was excited to assemble the bench until I noticed the holes on the seat do NOT align with the holes on the support beam. I had to cut the support beam myself to make it small enough so the holes would align on the seat. The fabric was also torn upon receiving this.

Great value for a functional exercise bench
Needed a bench to add to some other home gym equipment to get me through the Covid gym closing period. Didn't want to spend too much as it won't see a lot of use once the gym opens again. The price was right for this one (44 at the time) and reviews were good. I've been using it for a couple weeks now. I mostly use it for doing various dumbell exercises as well as sit ups. Assembly was simple. A ratchet and a couple metric sockets will help. Mine does not lay perfectly flat, it is raised about 1 inch at the top of the backrest when in the "flat" position but it is not really noticeable when exercising. The vinyl upholstery and padding on the seat and backrest are assembled well and comfortably firm. I am a little concerned that the seat attaches to the frame with only two screws down the center of the seat, as it seems like a lot of downward force on the side of the seat (while doing weighted triceps bench dips) might pull the screws loose. The backrest uses four screws and is solid. The frame is light weight but reinforced in the right place so it is quite structurally sound. The welds are done well and have no rough or sharp edges. The paint on the frame is perfect. Usability could be improved by having more backrest angles (incline/decline) and the ability to tilt the seat during incline exercises, but those features are found on the $200+ benches. All in all a very solid and usable low cost bench. Also, there is a simple method to increase the incline/decline angle options (from four to seven). Simply cut a 3 or 4 inch (or both) length of two-by lumber (I used a four inch long piece of 2X3) and put it into the welded stop that the arm on the backrest fits into. A four inch length will result in the backrest angle being just about halfway between the welded stops. For the decline stand the two-by block on its end in the lowest welded stop, set the arm against the backrest and then lay the backrest onto the wood, which reduces the decline angle by about half and is much more comfortable when doing situps. See the photos - a picture is worth 1000 words.

    Great bench!
I am a 6ft tall female so when purchasing a bench for my home gym I was worried I wouldn't find one that would be comfortable. I saw several reviews that explained that this bench was perfect if you're tall. They were right! This is perfect and pretty sturdy for a cheaper bench as well! I would definitely recommend it!!

    Just what I needed!
I just started Body Beast and needed an affordable bench that would go from upright to flat. Since we live in a very small home, I also needed something I could fold up and put away when not in use. This does the trick. It's very sturdy but light enough that I can lift it without any trouble.

    It'll work!
Just purchased this bench and got a free $31 mat! Bench works great I'm 6' 2 and my head doesn't touch the floor! Read a lot of reviews and few said it wouldn't sit flat in The flat position, mine doesn't sit completley flat. However a lot of people said they couldn't figure out why.... The tab welded to the position pole (slides into the slots at different positions) is not welded on straight so the further you angle it down in the slots the higher it sits. Took me a few times of changing the position to realize what was causing it to sit higher. mines a lil over and inch high in the back on flat position. Not a big deal I put a one inch board under the front and sits flat now! Much much cheaper than anyone else's and fits taller people! Very sturdy if everything tightened well!

    Good value for the price.
This bench was ordered as part of a bundle: the bench + a mat to protect flooring/carpet. Both items arrived in good condition and ahead of the scheduled delivery date. I had no dufficulty assembling the bench. An allen wrench is provided, so I only needed a phillips screwdriver and adjustable ( aka "crescent") wrench. (TIP: A 3/8" ratchet & metric sockets might have made the process faster, but not required.) With the exception on the seat & adjustable bench attachments, all fasteners had nylon-locking nuts. The heads of the screws for the upholstered parts were a bit small for the slotted holes in the frame, so I added 4 flat washers from my junk drawer. This is the only reason this bench didn't get 5 stars. Once assembled, this bench is very stable.

    Does its job
It's a great, lightweight, easy to adjust dumbbell bench. This is my second one (my wife appropriated the first!). The first one is perfect, no issues at all. The second one actually feels a little sturdier somehow, can't put my finger on an exact reason. The negative on the second one is that it doesn't go completely flat in the flat position, the end of the bench is raised 2-4 inches higher than it should be. Checked all the bolts/screws, everything's attached properly. Thinking of cutting a new anchor slot for the flat position. Upward position is 90 degrees and incline position is appropriate. I weigh 155 and use up to 100 pounds on it with no issues.
