Best for the money
I didn't want an Olympic set and I have nowhere to put one. This bar allows me to do the exercises I want with weight I need without going to the gym.

missing pieces
I received this barbell missing 1 of the weight plate holder pieces that screw on to the ends of the barbell!

    Gets the job done
    FedEx managed to break a flange off one of the collars, which is impressive. Otherwise the bar is pretty sturdy, especially when you consider the price. Machining on the threads is very sharp, but again, I'm not complaining at this price point. The inner length of the bar is just over 48" (by about 3/8") if you're trying to figure out whether it will fit on your rack.

    Nice Bar
    Nice bar for the money. I'm 62, and won't be pushing heavier loads so this was the perfect bar for me as I age. Bar came with nice bright finish with no flaws and the packaging was in good condition and "not" beat up in the shipping process. Shipment was on time in under a week. All in all, a nice bar and a flawless ordering process!!! Thanks.

    Good Value and fits on Mid-Olympic Size Bench
    Ordered this barbell after searching a lot of various sites to find a bar that would allow me to continue using my standard plate collection with my new Marcy Diamond Olympic Surge Bench. Hard to tell on some products exactly how wide it is from inside grip to inside grip. The bar was about 49" and it does fit on the bigger benches. Of course, upgrading to olympic bar and plates eventually would be nice, but if you have a standard set and a 5foot bar, this will get you going for about $30.

    Great bar if your bench can use it...
    This would be a great bar if your bench's width can use it. I had to return it and bought the more expensive 6 foot with smooth ends. We are much happier that it's a heavier bar then our old one and heavier than this one and it fits on my modified bench without needing to make another hack job to lessen it's width. Either way, this is a good bar and do recommend it. I gave 4 bars for the length being way to short for my needs, but that in no way should reflect the quality and usefulness of the 5 foot bar. I will warn though, the smooth end bar should handle much more weight then a spin on bar. Food for thought peeps.

    Basic one piece weight bar
    I bought this bar to replace the 2 piece junky bar that came with the weight bench set I ourhased. This bar is sturdy and solid, and the collars have rubber washers for a really tight fit. The price is awesome for this quality.

    Well made Bar
    It's well made and looks nice, the Collar's work well too. The main thing to think about here is not if it's a good bar or worth the money. The thing is, is this the bar you want. This bar is barely long enough to do a chest press with(btw I'm 6'1). Also if you buy a bench you most likely wont be able to use this bar with it. You would need a 6 foot one for that. Another thing is the weight limit is 200 on this bar which is not that much for a bench press if your a guy. I would recommend the 6 foot Cap bar for $32.90 here on Walmart.com.

    If your going to get a weight lifting bar cap is the way to go. No putting togather a 3 pice bar & bars are solid not hollow. & the rubber plate bumpers are a plus

    Good beginner bar
    Bought this for 14 year old son. It is perfect for him in our small home gym. It is a sturdy, one piece bar. The threaded collars make sure nothing falls off. I used Site to Store and picked up from local store. Very satisfied with the item.
