    Fair to mediocre
    typical Chinese finish, hand grooves too rough, Collars sloppy. But if on a budget, go for it.

    Malfunctioning clamps
    The bar is fine. My problem is mainly with the right clamp which loosens all the time and requires tightening every time I lift weights to prevent them from spinning. The left clamp will loosen randomly but I could live with that. I have CAP Barbell 14" Standard Threaded Dumbbell Handles and those clamps stay tight.

    Nice curl bar, definitely worth the price. The knurling seems pretty aggressive (almost sharp) but will hopefully wear down a bit with use.

    Better than expected for the price
    This is a good quality bar. I was impressed with the knurling that I would describe as more aggressive than average. The bar is one-piece, solid and I'm glad I didn't go with a cheaper bar that screws together in the middle. I might regret the spin lock collars that take a little longer that a bar that works with spring lock collars, but they work well as long as you tighten them fully.

    Poor quality and packaging.
    Not well packaged by Walmart. First order shipped was missing the collar and gaskets on one side and both packages split open upon delivery. The bar quality is average. Well built, but the welded on collars are full of burrs that I had to file off. The spin collars that came with it are garbage. They are missing plating and the threading is cracked on the ends of both. You could easily cut yourself on them.

    No doubt at under $30 we're getting an EZ bar of this quality. People are unloading their Covid bars for ten to thirty dollars more now that gyms are open. Extremely happy walmart is now selling equipment without markup. This is my second CAP EZ curl bar over a decade. There's a side that slips its grip and the plate shifts a tad off the bat. The lock nuts are poorly cut and the bar-end threads are poorly cut. What's interesting is one side always stays locked in place. Maybe this is how cap identifies themselves as a co. haha. Nonetheless, an amazing 42" bar that fits my wrists comfortably and can solidly handle a 120lb curl if I'm showing off to my cats.
