Natural and Safe Lip Balm
I like that this lip balm does not contain petrolatum (like most lip balms) but instead contains more natural ingredients making it safer and more effective. My lips are less chapped since I started using this.

So disappointed
I was visiting Boston this past weekend, and I realized that I had forgotten to bring any lip balm. I went in search of comfort and moisture, and found Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm at a local store. I hadn't bought it in awhile, partly because I was unhappy with my last purchase, but I figured I'd give it another try. My lips were already slightly chapped from the cold and wind, but as soon as I applied the Lip Balm, my lips got redder and more irritated. The formula caused my lips to burn. I looked it up, and found that while many people seem to love this balm, several folks have complained over time about the formula changing, and now causing reactions, or just not working as well. I really wanted to like this lip balm, as I do like other Burt's Bees products, but I am going to have to stay away from this one, as it just aggravated my lips, and did nothing to heal them.

    I use Burt's bee lip balm in The winter where I live i my lips get so dry cracked and so chapped in the winter this is the best lip balm for chapped lips

    Great product but balm stick doesn't stay glued in
    I've always enjoyed the natural ingredients in these products, and the wonderful story of how Burt and Roxanne lived off the grid and committed to working with nature in developing their environmentally sustainable products. The products are not inexpensive, but I'm willing to pay more for the quality. My only complaint about the balm sticks is that they haven't come up with an adhesive strong enough to keep the balm stick inside the plastic well, particularly when the stick is wearing down. Several times now, I've pulled off the cap, only to have the rest of the balm stick pop out and fall on the floor or ground. The stick isn't salvageable after that. If they could improve that aspect, I would continue to order these balm sticks from Burt's Bees. I continue to be interested in many of their wonderful products.

    “Original” is NOT the original formula
    I was really excited to see this website touting the return of the original formula, as the addition of linalool and eugenol seemed to cause my lips to burn. Those ingredients are no longer listed in the full ingredient list on the website, however, when I received my order…they're listed right there on the product. This now appears very deceptive. I was willing to give Burt's Bees another try but unfortunately I'm going to have to find another brand.

    This lip balm is the key to my happy marriage... seriously, my top wife responsibility, is making sure we never run out of the original Burts Bees! My husband loves it that much. He is never ever without a tube in his pocket! He loves the slight mint tingle and it works the best at healing and preventing chapped lips! I enjoy it too but he is a number one fan
