Great Movie
The kids love ths movie. Great follow up to all the Mario video games. Very cheap(under$10) and worth every penny!

Buyer Beware
This movie is terrible. The only similarity it even has to the game is the fact that the characters are named Mario and Luigi. Why is the Mushroom Kingdom a dystopian city? Why does Dennis Hopper use a Nintendo Super Scope as a flamethrower? Why are Goombas giant? Why are two Italian plumbers played by a Brit and a Latino? The answer to all of these questions is because they were apparently trying to make an awful mess of a movie.

    The greatest movie ever made
    A spectacular train wreck of a movie. This movie was fraught with trouble through out the entire production process. It killed the career of almost every person attached to it. This movie is the reason why people believe video game movies can't be good. The following quote from Dennis Hoper (Kong Koopa) sums up how much he regrets doing this movie. “"I made a picture called Super Mario Bros., and my six-year-old son at the time -- he's now 18 -- he said, 'Dad, I think you're probably a pretty good actor, but why did you play that terrible guy King Koopa in Super Mario Bros.?' and I said, 'Well Henry, I did that so you could have shoes,' and he said, 'Dad, I don't need shoes that badly."” -Dennis Hopper (King Koopa) This movie is like the sharknado of video game movies. It crosses into so-bad-it's-good territory. I recommend everyone should watch it.

    loved this movie
    don't listen to all those naysayers....this is one of those 90's classic movies...I grew up with this movie, and I still find it to be one of the classics...of course people have their own opinions of the movie...but I love it...brings back memories...
