Love this machine!
Love this machine. I had an older Brother machine that got broke in a move. Instead of having it repaired, I decided to spoil myself with a new one. I am so glad I did. It so easy to use, even if you're a beginner. Love the start stop buttons. I haven't even tried using the foot pedal yet. So many decorative stitches. And it's fool proof. Select your stitch and the machine tells you which presser foot you need to use. I suppose the only negative thing I could say about it is that had I known how easy it was, I might have gotten one with more fonts. It just has the one. but it's one more than my old machine had. Best purchase ever!

Poor lighting. Fussy settings
The LED only lights to the right of the presser foot. The rest is in shadow. The light is very small and not very bright. The foot selection and stitch selection are fussy and not well explained in the manual. The reverse button is fussy. This would not be a machine that I would recommend.

    Love love love my new sewing machine
    after using my XR series for more than 10 years, i decided to get newer version. this machine is surprisingly quiet and smooth and very easy to deal with (even my 6 years old daughter can use it independently)

    This little gem is well worth the money!
    So far, I love this machine!!!! I have only had it for a⁹ few days. I love that the machine goes alot faster than my other machine! These days most machines are programmed to sew slow! Now I can get my projects done in no time! Brother, you've outdone yourself! Thank you!

    Missing the 1/4” quilting foot
    It arrived quickly and intact. The 1/4” quilting foot is missing. Read the instructions for an hour before using an got an error on first sew. Images for instructions are not great; make sure to get upper thread threaded properly. LED light does practically nothing…Reverse on thin material gets stuck. Will revise my review as I use it more and if the foot I especially wanted is sent to me.

    Never sewn before today!
    I love this sewing machine. I have never sewn before and I was able to very easily sew quilt squares today. My favorite function is the slow stitch speed, it makes stitching a straight line super easy to do. I watched the DVD and set it up and started sewing.

    disappointed
    very poor quality,, it will barely sew .. it has settings for the speed but even on the highest setting it hardly moves, wont sew through 2 layers of cotton fabric.. I had the older version of this model for 11 years and was very happy with it until it just wore out,, but this new one is a big disappointment .. I am going to try and return it.

    Too many things wrong with this model
    The automatic needle threader is difficult to operate and the instruction manual is no help (thanks to YouTube for helping me figure it out). There is no automatic thread cutter, and the manual cutter on the machine is dull. This machine does not purr, it roars and I can't hear anything around me when I am using it. The holder for the spools of thread is awkward, does not stay in place when not in use and I fear it will get broken before too long.

    Absolutely love this machine! I have been using brother brand sewing machine for 20 years now and my machine is still going! Decided to treat myself and bought this machine which I truly in love with! My mom used a brother machine growing up that she had for 40 plus years. Well it finally does on her and she. borrowed my sisters machine. I bought my mom this same machine and she is absolutely thrilled. You won't regret buying this! It's easy to set up and dvd instructions make it easy to use all the functions. Instruction book came in English amd spanish! It's easy and for advanced sewers and beginners. Best machine out there for the money!

    My new Brother
    I just love my new sewing machine, it is easy to work on it, the extended table makes my sewing more comfortable. I can not wait to work on the different decorative stitches. This machine is very lightweight to carry. I like the start and stop feature when I do not want to use the pedal. The different speeds are also very helpful, especially in those delicate and precise projects, or working on specific fabrics. It is too bad that does not come with a cover to protect it from dust. It comes with only 3 bobbins.

    Great Machine for the Price!!
    I haven't had a chance to really get into sewing as of yet. I have been sewing since I was a teenager and is just now getting back into it. The machine itself is very functional. The features are great and I like because it easily stored and ready to go in a pinch. The price was GREAT!!!
