Disappointed with Brother Color Laser
Nice print quality but it quit within two weeks and now Brother wants to exchange it for another that has been repaired/refurbished. Not happy with that option. Will be returning to Walmart shortly.

    So far, so good.
    Ive only owned this printer for a couple months. So far its great. Setup was easy, prints very fast and is quiet. Don't buy this printer if you want print quality photos. It doesnt have the print quality to produce fine photos but its great for home/office use. I will follow up this review in a year to see how well the toner lasts and if Im still satisfied with this product.

    My first laser printer. Liked most everything about it. Very easy to set up. Quality of printing exceptional. Printing photos not so good. Will have to stick with my inkjet for that job.

    Don't expect the manual feed to work.
    If you are just printing on standard paper it works well, but I bought this for the manual feeder to print checks and envelopes on to. 8 out of 10 tries with the manual feeder end up in it doing a "paper jam" and then having to open the cover, shut it and wait for it to go through the cycle again and again and again. Don't purchase this if you want the manual feed to work. IT DOESEN'T !

    Overall, a great printer.
    The installation software is the poorest software I've seen in decades. It installs a tremendous amount of crap on your computer, and is difficult to reverse. The wireless setup for a static IP does NOT work, and results in a system that refuses to connect, but is on the network. Eventually, I was able to get it installed, but ONLY with a non-static IP address, after 6 hours of trying. I'm a retired computer professional with almost 50 years of experince, so I'm far from a computer novice. All I wanted to have was a simple network printer on my wireless network within the setup that my other shared peripherals on my network. I don't want to use ANY of the 'advanced' features like cloud printing or getting toner ordered automatically, but those are the way Brother wants to install. After the problems were resolved, the printer is VERY NICE, and does a fine job. How reliable and use of consumables remains to be seen. Except for the installation SW, I'd give it 5 stars.

    Great printer
    Love the auto duplex feature. Quicker warm up, and much quieter than my 5 year old b/w Brother that's still going strong. Had to connect via USB cable for the initial setup, but after that has worked flawlessly on WiFi printing and also directly (air)printing from my iPhone. Color Print quality is acceptable for a consumer level machine. Not as flawless as the heavy duty color printers we have in our office. A keeper nonetheless.
