Good size
I was worried that the stairs might be to big. The steps take up less room than the fold up stairs in had before. It is light and easy to move around. Being light is also the only problem I can see with the stairs. They move around really easily. I have an older dog and he takes his time getting up on my bed. I have a young pup and he bounds and bounces everywhere. So going up he at times pushes the stairs around. Getting off the bed the stairs will push away from him. He took a tumble the first time so he has learned to take it slower going down the stairs. I think putting some grippers on the bottom will take care of all of these issues. It is still worth a 5*.

Too flimsy for a larger dog
I wanted this for my German Shepherd 6 mo. old puppy to use to get into and down off our bed. However, coming down it would tip if he stepped on the side and not right in the middle. Going up he could easily get his foot between the top step and the bed and that could cause an accident. I just took him up and down several times the day I received the steps; however, I plan to return them due to safety issues. They are too narrow for a larger dog.

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/20/2016Too SmallFor my dog the steps did not go high enough for our bed and they were also a bit too shallow. It's not a bad product but is definitely for very small dogs. Unfortunately, I had to return it. The company representative (Amber) was incredibly courteous and helpful with the return process.Bill

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/10/2016Pet stairsThe pet stairs are just ok. Disappointed that the are basically cardboard so they are hard steps. I assumed they would be a soft thick form material. The positive is the cover is soft and zips off for washing. Not worth sending back to third party who have restrictions and shipping costs.Read EVERYTHING before buying!Catlady

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/29/2015Brinkmann Deluxe Pet StepsI was extremely disappointed in the merchandise. It is very poorly constructed and it is wobbly when my pet attempts to climb the steps. I unzipped the removable cover to see what the innards were constructed of and I found cardboard!!!!!! Poor excuse of a product at such an expensive cost. Thais purchase finishes my business with "hayneedle".Francis

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/18/2015AWESOMEBoth of my two cats, Tut and Heidi, started playing on the stairs immediately. They weren't afraid, loved climbing them, enjoyed jumping from them. Tut is 16 and a little large, so the stairs are helping him get on my raised bed and on the 2 shelf bookcase in front of the master bedroom window so he can look outside at the birds. Thank you. The quality and their enjoyment is #1 for me.Jeri

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/27/2012Perfect for our 10 pound dogThe colors are natural and go with anything. The covering is soft carpet like material. It's light weight and easy to move around with a handle on the back. I wouldn't recommend this for a large dog. It's probably only sturdy enough for 10-20 pounds or so. We love it and are very happy with it.Jenny

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/13/2012Solid but too small and light for lg dogAlthough they are rated for 200lbs my 55lb puppy is too big for them. Because they are small and lightweight she can get them to teeter when she approaches from an angle. I have had to buy much larger heavier and ultimately more stable steps to get in and out of truck.sl
