Very close shave; instructions difficult to follow
It delivers a very close shave. I found the instructions difficult to follow. They are drawings, not words. I found the company's website has good instructions for cleaning.

Not worth the price
I purchased this to replace my Braun model 8585 (which I purchased in June of 2005). This new one does not shave nowhere as close as my old shaver. At the cost I expected better from Braun. I would not buy this one if I had known it would not shave better.

    Difficult to get started with instructions being v
    Instruction manual is very poorly done. Setting it up was by trial and error. Needs to be simplified. Picture instructions not well done. Can't figure how and why the base functions. Once I got the razor working it seems to function very well.

    OK, But..
    I have only used my razor a very few times and I would say it does an ok job. Prior to purchasing this razor, I read many reviews praising and glorifying this product as most products get unfairly, but I still maintain my position this product does an ok job. I will say however, the cleaning/charging station seems to work well.

    Great Electric Razor
    Best electric razor I've owned and this is my 3rd. Definitely worth the extra money over the cheaper alternatives. Also, really holds a charge for a long time and numerous shaves.

    Overpriced Mistake
    I purchased this product in November of 2021 because the wet/dry capabilities sold me. I read good reviews online and was ready to invest in a moderately expensive product to replace my manual razor. I've tried using it dry 3 times since I purchased it and I continue to have the same problem - no matter which way I shave (up, down, against the hair growth, following the hair growth, etc.), the blade misses large patches of whiskers and it leaves a very incomplete and patchy shave with some long whiskers sticking out. I also tried using it wet with a little soap, with just water and no soap, and using just a thin layer of shaving cream; the results were equally disappointing as it barely cut any whiskers. I agree that the instructions are abominable and you wouldn't expect that out of a German brand but just read the rest of the reviews for yourself. This was an expensive investment for my lifestyle and I can confidently say that you will have better results from using a safety razor with a single blade. I ended up using my safety razor and it took 1/4 of the time to achieve any even smoother result. I will be returning this product.

    Doesn't seem to be a good value.
    It seems that the shaver mount will wear out much faster than the series 3 that I had previously with a built in trimmer. I will have to be careful when attaching and detaching.

    Love the Braun Series 7
    I have used Norelco razors my entire life. Given the rising cost of replacement blades I decided to try the new Braun series 7. I have only had it three weeks, but so far I love it. close shave, easy to maintain, lasting charge. So...overall, very pleased.

    Excellent product, exceeds my expectations
    I have had two Panasonics over the past 4 years or so. They seem to die after a couple of years. So I said, hey I'll try a Braun. I am so glad I did. This razor is quiet...easy to hold, feels substantial..and gives me the smoothest shave I have had in years. It is about $50 more than the Panasonic..but definitely worth it. Very close shave..one or two strokes and the beard is gone. Spend the extra bucks and get the Braun it is worth it.

    I read many reviews regarding this item, on Amazon and Walmart. I actually purchase it on Amazon for $10.00 less but was jerked around on delivery dates, so I cancelled my order, and went to my local Walmart and bought it. Now that I vented here is my review. 1. I saw many reviews on this and people complained about the manual, because its all pictures. I didn't even use the manual and set it up in about 3 minutes. No problem found. 2. I was concerned that it did not come with the cleaning solution and it does. 3. People complained that every time they charged it, the holder began to clean it. People thats what its supposed to do. Myself I thought outside the box and just placed it in the holder without pressing the button to start the charger. See picture. Long story short. Its a shaver. it shaves your face. Dont make it so complicated. lol I just bought yesterday and used it once and got a close shave. it charges really fast. and I thought that was cool but I will not clean it again until the battery is low and it needs another charge, then and only then will i go through the cleaning cycle. FYI the only somewhat flaw I have seen so far is its kinda noisy when its cleaning and charging but only for about 5 minutes. Once the cleaning is done, its quiet again
