Very nice addition to my bedroom.
Love this addition to my bedroom. Throws out enough heat to warm a small room as long as you close all the doors to that room. A little noisier than expected but I can deal with the noise. Love that you can adjust the temperature and found out it has a timer setting up to 9 hours.

VERY Disappointed
You get what you pay for I guess... I have wanted one of these for years and recently purchased (not from Walmart) a couple of smaller heaters that look like wood stoves that I placed through out my house. They were less expensive and a lot more efficient. When I run the heater element on them, and no place on the heater does it get hot. A child can play around it, touch it no problem. So I wanted something that looked like a fireplace for my living room and purchased this. In the future, I won't buy a cheap one. After spending a couple hours putting this together, I found a lot of damage. Not going to return it because it's too big and heavy. The damage: The little grate in front of the controls is bent so it doesn't close right. Had to put a couple pieces of Velcro on a corner so it will close. The trim on top fell off and no amount of touch up paint will fix it after I used my glue gun to put it back on because it's all chipped and pieces coming up. The touch up paint isn't even the same color! There are also places under the mantle and bottom base that are bubbling. Looks like they are pealing off. So bottom line.... very poor quality. I'll either try to paint & fix it up or sell it on Craigslist for $50 bucks. Sure the price is reasonable because these kind of fireplaces can be expensive but with the damage on this one, it's not worth the price.

    Wow!! When the box arrived I had a little bit if a panic attack over the thought of putting the beauty together. However... going step by step with the instructions..taa-daa I put it together with no problems at all. This fireplace heater is beautiful. It works perfectly. Soo happy with my purchase. Thank you.

    Dark and Handsome!
    My fireplace shipment came within 3 days of my order. Fedex said the package felt as if it weighed 90 pounds. Pretty sure the firebox is the heaviest piece. The instructions were pretty easy to read. I did not use a drill as the whole piece only requires dowels and small screws. It took about 3 hours...but hey, I'm a 74 year old single female... so, I'm no spring chicken, (walking on my knees to begin the layout was a bit difficult for me). Remember... TIGHTEN all the screws (LATER) after finishing the entire assembly of the project. After the first part (building the square on the floor), lift the frame and simply follow the instructions...CAREFULLY...don't rush! I have enclosed a picture to show you my final results. What you see says it all about this piece... tall, dark and handsome... and my LATEST FLAME!

    This is a pretty fireplace and easy to set up. Puts out a little heat. Definitely will not warm the entire room.

    for the perfect romantic bedroom
    my girlfriend came home and saw it in the bedroom. She was very happy..very happy. anyone Know where i can find a fake fur rug to put down in front of this. that would be the perfect final touch. pretty fire, glowing logs. and it puts off good heat. the amount of heat is surprising. well engineered and easy to assemble and engineered to last a long time. i suggest two people for final bolt tightening or long wood clamps. one person to put pressure on items to keep them tight together as the other tightens bolts down. or if you have 38" wood clamps, they will work too. excellent, I looked at more expensive models but this has impressive quality and the romantic atmosphere it creates is worth it.
