It makes the best coffee
I have been looking for a French Press for a while. This price beats Amazon!! It's very easy to use- instead of reading the directions, watch the YouTube video!

Broke after the second use!
This was my first french press and online research made me think Bodum was a reliable brand. However, even after following all the instructions perfectly, I was only able to use it twice before it developed a crack and can no longer be used. I am returning this item and am now looking for a stainless steel press or at least a better quality glass. This one just felt cheap from the beginning because the glass feels very thin and fragile.

    French Press
I love this little press! It works great and is perfect for making a nice sized personal cup of coffee. It is super simple to use and the coffee always tastes so fresh when made in it.

    Works Like A Charm
Perfect French Press - well made with a nice finished look - I like that I can leave it sit out on my counter and it goes with my decor and isn't gawdy or embarrassing looking when guests come over. Does the job perfectly and so far has held up nicely. Overall satisfied with my purchase.

    French Press by Bodum
I have been curious about trying out a French Press, as I have some hard core coffee fans claim that it is the only way to make your coffee. I found this single serving french press to be just the thing to experiment with. First off, it is sold as a 4 cup serving, however I was able to make just a single serving of coffee only. A single serving is fine for my needs, however if you are expecting to get multiple mugs of coffee from one use, this might not be the right size for you. Also, another tip I have found is that the french press process is best when using freshly ground course coffee. It does make a very bold or strong flavor, which is what I prefer. Second tip, boil your water in a kettle or by whatever means you prefer, as the time it takes to "bloom" the grounds as well as the additional time for "brewing" or steeping will allow a sufficient amount of time for your boiled water to cool down so that you still have a hot cup of coffee at the end. Third, if you are unfamiliar with the process, as the instructions provided are not very thorough, then you may want to watch a few instructional videos, there are a ton on you tube to help in this. Finally, I am mostly invested in this french press process not just for the outstanding cup of coffee that it makes, but also to insure that in the event of say a power outage or what have you, I can still enjoy a great cup of coffee and not have to rely on my electric coffee machine. As I do not care for the taste of instant coffee and prefer this in the event of no power. Either way, I'm still going to turn out with an exceptional cup of coffee.

    Great cup of coffee!
Neither my husband nor myself have ever used a French press before, so this was a new experience for us. I am not a big coffee drinker, but I was pleasantly surprised by this little gadget. The instructions were easy to follow and the press itself feels very sturdy. We followed the directions exactly and used a Keurig to put 10 ounces of water into the carafe of the press. The top fits on very tightly, which is great as you are dealing with very hot water. Cleanup was pretty easy too. We took the press out, dumped the grounds into the garbage and rinsed everything off. The cup of coffee was not nearly as bitter as I was expecting. It was very smooth, which I found odd as we used the same type of grounds we use for our normal 12 cup coffee pot. While this press made a great cup of coffee (my hubby actually drank it without any sugar or cream!) we will use it sparingly as it uses a TON of coffee. For 10oz of water we used 2.5 Tablespoons of coffee. In comparison, for a normal pot of coffee, which for us is 10 cups, we use a total of 6 Tablespoons of coffee.

    French Press Coffee Maker
I got to choose this Bodum Kenya French Press Coffee Maker and we were really impressed with how it works. It works great and we do not get any coffee grounds in our coffee. This would be a great buy and I recommend. Easy to use and put together. It is small and will make up to 4 cups of coffee quickly. As long as you have boiling water and coffee you can use this anywhere, take this anywhere. Here is a couple pictures to show you. Thank you. We recommend!

    delicate french press
i am happy with my 17 oz french press. you have to make sure that you use coarse ground coffee. i perfer to have a grinder. you then can add the hot water and stir. it does take about 4 to 7 minutes to actually get the coffee. when u pour the coffe only use plastic to not damage or scratch the sides. do not use fine coffe as it will clog the filter. It is easy to take apart to clean but you do have to bw delicate especially the filter as it is a tiny bit flimsy and if you are harsh it might break. one other thing is the glass beaker can become loose and fall and break. if you drop this it will break. the screen mount does unscrew to be cleaned but again be gentle. its very minimalist and modern to look nice if you do leave it out on your counter

    Great cup of coffee
I have always loved every single Bodum product I have bought. This French press is just as good as the products I've gotten from them in the past. It's the perfect size and makes one of the best cups Of coffee I've ever had. Get a good quality coarse ground coffee, add water, stir, wait 4 minutes and press. So good! I even pour it over ice for a nice iced coffee. 10/10

You've Tried the Rest, Now French Press Coffee
This French Press is ready for use as it comes out of the box. It has a permanent filter, measuring spoon and instructions included. I used it to brew from espresso to Americano and the coffee is more robust than my Keurig or drip method. One thing though. you need a course grind of coffee, a finer grind allows some grounds to escape to the liquid coffee.

    For real coffee lovers
For people on the fence about buying a French Press, let me tell you that it makes a very noticeably better cup of coffee. Grind your beans the night before (or right before) you make some coffee and you will love the results. You will have to do a little experimentation and arithmetic to find the sweet spot for what you consider a good cup of coffee. For me, I put in 7 scoops of course-ground coffee and fill with hot water to about an inch below the top. This corresponds to the level 6 line of a Mr Coffee carafe. The downside to a French Press is the mess. It is a little harder to clean (and by 'harder' I only mean it's a bit messier) than a drip coffee maker where you simply pull out the filter and toss it away. I use a rubber spatula (like for spreading icing on a cake) to scoop out the grounds and it works OK.
