love this stuff
I found this product a couple of years ago and I always keep it in stock in my house now. I love this. It repairs so many things. I've used it to repair a refrigerator door shelf. The connector on the side had broken off. I've used it to repair a decorative cup. I've used this stuff for so many things. I love it.

    A product worth considering
Quickstep work amazingly well on bonding things: it is easy to use and the pieces held together instantly and are still holding together. I especially liked the fact that I didn't have to apply pressure for several minutes while it bonds — it grabs immediately. However, I was repairing a cut glass dish which had broken into two pieces and the QuikSteel dried a gray color so a line is very obvious where it bonded. A colorless type would be ideal for repairing glass.

Great for some things horrible for others
I used this for a few applications and I found out some interesting things. If your looking to seal up a hole in a gas tank it works great, same goes for body work but if you use it on any part of your exhaust get ready to smell like burnt onions and toxic fumes as well as having to go get it removed and fixed for more then what you would have paid to get the exhaust leak fixed in the first place. It claims to be safe for exhaust but don't be fooled DO NOT USE IT ON YOUR EXHAUST! Now that being said don't let that deter you from using it on other applications that it works well with. Gas tank, brake lines, heater core small leak, water system, body work are all ok.

    Beats hundreds on car repairs!
In Northern New England, winters can be brutal, and the salt gets into your car's body causing rust, even if you take it to get washed. Quiksteel has saved me hundreds of dollars in repairs. I went to get my car inspected. I was told it wouldn't pass without patching some holes that I couldn't even see looking at the car. They were underneath but it still had to be repaired. I purchased a couple tubes of Quiksteel, mixed them together and applied them to my vehicle. They were steel solid in minutes and I took my vehicle back to the inspection station where it passed without a hitch! I heartily recommend Quiksteel! And to know that it is drinking water safe, well that means I can make in-home repairs if needed also. I used to swear by WaterWeld because it was drinking water safe. Quiksteel is as good as that, and better by far for so many other things as well, I am so grateful to know I can use Quiksteel without fear!

    A good temporary fix
I bought this to fix a small hole on the top of my car Radiator. It works great for a little while, but the water starts pushing the seal off and leaks again after a week or so. It is by no means a permanent fix, it is not worth burning up a car over a $5 tube of glue. It is a ok product, ive used it to glue a couple of of ther things and it works great there, it just is not a permanent radiator fix.

Good for compressive loads but breaks with tension
I purchased this product to repair rust damage on a car battery support bracket for a 20 year old car. It did a good job on the platform directly under the battery, holding the rusted parts together and taking the compression well. On the other hand, the repair on the metal forming hole for the support rod didn't work out well and broke when the screw was tightened down. I think the reason for this is because the product only holds compressive loads well. The part that failed was a pulling load on a fatigued metal part. To fix the problem I decided to leave the metal misaligned so that it would place more of the strain against the metal rather than the putty repair. This worked and it held after the repair. Disregard the reviewer who says it won't harden. The instructions clearly state that you have to kneed the putty to a uniform color before it will set. She must not have done that.

    Great Product will buy again
i bought this stuff thinking that it probably wouldnt work but was amazed at results. my problem was i had a leak in a weld near my heater core..used this stuff and it hardened and stopped leak..key to using this product is to mix it together properly and wait the hour for it to harden(cure).
