Love these dishes
I absolutely love these dishes. They are beautiful and I am completely satisfied with my purchase. They showed up when they said they would and in perfect condition-I was a little worried about them breaking during shipping. I am so glad I got them. The only thing is I'm afraid I'm going to break one and mess up my set but so far so good.

NICE LOOKING DISHES.....BUT.....
I think this set might not only be more attractive if it had more of a glazed, and not dull, finish but also, more glazing might help to prevent the staining you can get on the plates if you, briefly, let water stand in them to soak them before hand washing them or placing them in the dishwasher and/or the stains they get if you use them in the microwave to reheat certain foods....
I can tell the difference in the appearance of the plates I use more frequently...they are duller and stained compared to the ones I don't use as often so I have to remember to rotate the usage so that they all look dull, stained, and then match.
This isn't an expensive set....but, I don't consider it to be so inexpensive that I won't mind that within a short period of time, based on their 'worn and unattractive look' after only moderate and careful use by, primarily, just one person, having to replace the two sets of dishes I purchased to get a service for 8 to use when I have company.

I liked them so well, I purchased 2 more 16 piece sets so we would have enough for family get-togethers. The plates are large and have a rounded square look, which I love. The design has a Japanese feeling that fits in with our Asian artwork. The cups are large. I hate those small cups for coffee in many dinnerware sets. The smaller plate is big enough to use for a lunch plate - sandwich, etc. Bowls are perfect for cereal, soup or salad. Just put them in the dishwasher - they come out fine and so far so good.Suzala

I had to buy the set now because I was missing one of the big plates as it broke awhile back and I really needed it now as we had family over for Easter. I was disappointed to see that 2 of the big plates from the set were chipped, actually one of them is cracked too, and on the top part too. I understand it happens, but I wish I would get what I paid for. I wish I would have at least the possibility to exchange those two plates to one of your location as I don't wanna have to deal with all that return shipping hustle. Why did you discontinue this item in your stores?BUTOI

The bowls stack nicely in the cabinet taking up less space then my old ones. They hold quite a bit of food and the square design make holding them easier. I was disappointed to find that they were sold out in store, so I decided to see if they were in-stock on-line and they were! Surprisingly I found a better deal on-line too, so we ordered two sets! The dishes are absolutely beautiful. We've joked that all our food tastes better with these dishes. The only thing I would mark down about these dishes is the durability of them. We've only had them for a week, so they've been great so far. However, they don't seem thick enough to withstand any bumps or accidents. I fear they will chip soon. Again, absolutely beautiful dishes for everyday use as well as for entertaining!Feisty39

I ordered online to get the 32 piece set for $65 and it was well worth it! I did put them in the dishwasher as soon as I unpacked them and there were no issues when I took them out. I have yet to use them in the microwave, but I tend to use paper plates for that! I thoroughly enjoy the square shape, it fits in the cupboard much easier than the round plates! The bowls are very deep, perfect for soup or cereal!Spadoinkle

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/31/2013Beautiful setI had it for a couple of weeks now, they are a bit heavy, but I kinda knew it, I love the look, especially I like the bowls which are not really bawls but almost like plates so I can use it as a plate also, I'm not sure how fast they chip, so far they look great, however you do have to be careful with them when you wash or put them away, because they are heavy it looks like they chip easily, but I had similar set before and knew what to expect. It can handle day to day use and do fine in the dishwasher. They do tend to get hot in the microwave so be careful. I believe this makes them crack prematurely. The price and design of the dishes make up for this flaw. We got a good 4 years out of our first set with Daily use and 4 kids.Mick97702
