Sturdy and easy to put together.
I bought 2 in Espresso brown, they matched my kitchen cabinets perfectly. I used two in my kitchen nook to make a banquette look. They are sturdy and took me about 1hr 45min each to build. You will need help with the putting together of the two large portions with the dividers as it's like a puzzle and you have to pop both sides together. The bench pieces are heavy to hold up and do that on your own. Packaging was good, no damages to the product.

Major Dissapointment.
This package arrived damaged. The local Fed Ex in Geddess NY, then Syracuse, NY delayed the shipping for 5 days before delivering this mess. After carefully opening the box I noticed damage to the parts mainly in the corners. Unfortunately the damage can't be touched up or hidden. I am not accepting this delivery and if I am expected to do the workand return this myself repackaged I will not purchase anymore from Walmart for a solid year. 08-25-2023. I work hard for my money and I ask to be treated with respect by all parties involved with this purchase.

    Good buy!
    Nice! Great length and perfect for a low counter or regular dinning table. The cushion is thin but comfy. I built mine the opposite way so that I could display the storage and still have the bench facing the counter. It's also sturdy!

    nightmare
    A nightmare. Came damaged and neither Walmart nor the delivery company appears willing to take responsibility for a reasonable return process. Effort spent on arranging return/replacement and repackaging, cost of materials and gas, and effort to resend will literally end up equaling or exceeding the cost of the item if hours are figured at minimum wage by the time this is all done. Walmart.com customer "service" is not just unhelpful, but argumentative (more than one did this), and refuses to allow customer to speak to more than one level of supervisor. Stone walls at every turn and both Walmart and the delivery company work in concert to make this awful.

    Not a good product for the price
    The pictures of it on the web site looked nice the color was also nice. But when it got delivered it had some damage to it. I was able to hide most of it but not all. The parts did not fit as well (the fasteners) and did not connect correctly. Very cheap partial board. I would have returned it but didn't have the time to get it done.

    I love this item! In fact, i bought 2 of them. the price and product are great. While these are not solid wood, the pieces are very thick and sturdy. It was also so easy to put together. If you are thinking of buying, do yourself a favor and just do it!

    Need for better quality control
    Put bench together- and then went to take cushion out of sealed package and noted to have multiple stains on the cushion. IT SHOULD BE CLEAN AND NEW!

    Really nice and functional piece of furniture
    We love this storage bench! We use it as a window seat and put pillows on top. It is great because it is a seat and storage all in one! There was one piece of damaged wood but it was an extra piece that wasn't even necessary for assembly of the bench... the wood is very sturdy and the cubbies are very large to fit lots of books or toys inside. The only issue I have is the cushion. It isn't very soft and I don't like that it's a light color. But we put a throw blanket and pillows over it so it's fine. The wooden part is so beautiful and it looks great! So happy we got it!

    A Few Issues - But Happy Enough to Keep It!
    Overall, I am happy with the purchase. I did not have high expectations as I have purchased similar, assemble-at-home products in the past. CONS 1) Box arrived in somewhat bad shape; box arrived with a large hole exposing the product inside, but the product did not appear to be damaged or wet. It was raining the day of delivery (it was a day late) and left out as no one was there to receive it...we waited all day on the date it was suppose to arrive by Fedex. 2) All the pieces did not exactly match in color, but not extremely obvious. 3) There were a two small areas where the outside finish was flawed. It was either bent or scrunched and not attached to the MDF/particle board and another area was bubbled up. 4) The back cushion rail was missing one predrilled hole to attach it to the upper bench. For fear of splitting the MDF/particle board, we did not drill one ourselves. 5) The cushion was scrunched due to poor quality construction. Therefore, we will be recovering it. 6) Personal thought...quality does not equal price and should cost less. PROS 1) The organizer bench filled our wants/needs for a "window seat" in a new nursery. 2) Supports the weight of someone sitting on the bench compared to other similar products. 3) While assembly took a couple of hours for one person, instructions were easy to follow, complete with all required parts. 4) I would purchase again, but again, I think the price is too much for a product of this quality.

    inspect carefully upon receipt
    I'm not very happy with the condition this item was received in. the top has deep gouges which I'm going to have to try to repair since it's too close to Christmas now to try and get it replaced
