Softest yarn for baby on the market!
Very pleased with this purchase, have been using Bernat Softee Baby Yarn for several years and was so pleased that they have improved the way the yarn is wound, makes it so much eaiser to use and best od all no tangles!

This yarn was all cut up inside, I could not even finish the baby blanket I was making for as a baby shower gift.... very disappointed in this product. I have used this brand before and never had this problem before.

    Great if you must use baby weight yarn!
    Ordinarily I don't like working with "baby weight yarn" but my project is for a baby so I have to bite the bullet! This is soft and I'm sure it will be pretty once the project has been completed. Just one note, I simply could not find the beginning strand from inside the skein.

    This yarn is so soft and light. Did have trouble now and then with a little separation with yarn. But we'll worth it. Color is bright. Will buy again.

    I make a lot of baby blankets and I only use Baby Softee yarn by Bernat but Walmart hasn't been carrying it anymore in their stores. This yarn is soft and that's a must for the blankets I make.

    Sparkles make yarn thicker
    I ordered this for my wife. She crochets caps for new borns and prefers Bernat Softee Baby yarn. She found these skeins have thicker yarn. It isn't enough of a difference to deter her from using it; but, it is something that should be taken into consideration. I would have given the yarn all 5s except for this one manufacturing process of adding "sparkles".

    Yarn separates!!!
    I find the yarn separates making it difficult to grab the entire strand without catching your hook/needle on one of the individual strands of yarn. I have noticed this mostly with the Softee yarns. There needs to be less separation of the strands in order to not split the strands when using a crochet hook or knitting needle. In spite of that problem the yarn does make a good product if you are careful when using it. I can't recommend it for a large product as it gets quite frustrating using it.

    Good yarn for baby items, some colors cost more
    This is a great yarn for baby items, as long as you start your project with the understanding that these types of yarn are known for splitting and/or pilling. I happen to like the slightly fuzzy effect and I crochet instead of knit, so this does not bother me. It drapes beautifully and is super soft without the scratchiness that you can get from certain other brands (Red Heart). I will say that I didn't like having to pay more than double the cost for a specific color I wanted (Prettiest Pink). That being said, the color wasn't even available at other arts and crafts stores.

    Nice soft yarn for babies
    I ordered the Prince Pebbles yarn for a light baby blanket I was working on. The color was slightly different than I was expecting it to be, but I love it anyway. It has a little more white in it than the swatch shows, but that's ok. The yarn is super soft and lightweight, so it will make a lovely summertime blanket for our new arrival. I like the ombre color changes, since it keeps me from getting bored with the same few stitches over and over. Would definitely recommend.
