My preferred brand of Yarn!
The yarn is a perfect thickness for making blankets, throws etc, and extremely easy to use. I started using this brand a few years back and the results are beautiful. The thickness allows for a comfy warmth that in cold weather, keeps you cozy while snuggling under it. Whether using it to cuddle on the sofa or, to add as a bed covering over a comforter, the extra weight and warmth adds an element of joy as you drift off to sleep. The vast variety of color options allow for an abundance of pairing to create unique finished pieces. I've made many a throw & blanket for my family, as well as scarves and hats for winter! I simply love Bernat Blanket yarn!

Bernat Blanket Yarn
I bought Bernat Blanket yarn in "Ocean Shades". Beautiful yarn and very easy to work with. The store only had 4 skeins, so I checked many other stores and could only get it on-line. I realize that the dye lots would be different but I have had to do this before, so I didn't have much choice. I was really disappointed in the yarn I received as it is a verigated yarn and the colors are so dull compared to the ones I got in the store that it almost looks like a different yarn. I have no choice but to use it but I cannot believe how very off the two are.

    Cost efficient
    Everyone is very pleased with how soft this yarn feels. It's equivalent to chenille. Really great for blankets, afghans and anything else that one would want to feel soft. The 300g ball makes it affordable for baby blankets especially.

    Love chenille yarn
    I love the chenille yarn for crocheting blankets. Makes them so soft and comforting. The only two minor issues are some skeins have a few tie ins (knots) that you have to cut and tie yourself to make it more secure. The other is some skeins also are more ribbon like (flatter) but you don't see this in the final product thankfully. Just feels a little less thick as you are working with it. But overall I loved this sand colour which is a perfect warm neutral tone!

    Soft, chunky and fluffy. Great to work with.
    This is really nice yarn and easy to work with. A couple of the balls it was harder to get the first string from the inside, but after a bit of work an untangling I got it done. Nothing that takes from the quality of the yarn though. I needed a size 10 or 11 hook for crochet but only had 6.5 but I still made do with that. Made a beautiful blanket for my daughter with this. SO soft and cozy and it didn't take long to make because it builds fast because it is so chunky.

    Excellent quality
    The balls of yarn are large and the quality is excellent. The yarn is thick and that means the project grows very quickly. The thickness is good for a blanket or a similar project. It is really good when it goes on sale because depending on how much yarn is used it can be expensive.

    Soft and easy to work with
    This yarn is soft and makes for awesome material for blankets. Love using this for baby blankets because the yarn is thick so it doesn't take long. Also made a huge king size blanket, it really held up and because the blanket is so big and the yarn is thick, the blanket has good weight to it which I love.

    These cake patterns do not repeat as the regular style skeins so if you need more pattern get the reg skeins if not the cakes are fine. Sometimes the colours are not gradual as they've had to knot and attach in the cake so it's a distinct switch from one colour to next, not an ombré gradual fade in so in a big project it will be noticeable

    Bernat is my favourite yarn for blankets. This chunky yarn works up quickly and beautifully. Washes up nicely as well. Blankets don't lose their shape. Highly recommend this yarn
