    amazing strength
    I've been using Berkley Trilene XL smooth Casting clear line for the past 30 years and it has never me down. In the photo's below is my latest catch using 4 lb XL tied to an 8 lb XL leader with a Bimini Twist and landed this fish. I believe it was between 10-12 lbs... So thank you Berkley for a great product.

    Berkeley Trilene is everything my wife wishes I was; strong, sensitive and reliable! But seriously folks Berkeley Trilene XL has been our go to line for Northwoods walleye for over 30 years. Sure, we've tried different stuff but nothing has compared.

    Great finesse line.
    Been using Berkely Trilene XL since the 80's. It is a great line used correctly. I use it only for "finesse" techniques (Ned rigs, drop shot, Neko rigs, Wacky rigs). It has the least amount of "memory" and therefore is far less susceptible to line twist, which is wonderful when using spinning reels for these techniques, with 6, 8, or 10lb. line. Other mono lines, and flourocarbon lines are stronger and more abrasion resistant, perhaps less visible, but none of that matters if you're fighting coils and line twist. Braided line doesn't coil, but then you will need to attach a mono or flouro leader, which can severely weaken line. Use Trilene XL and learn to use your drag properly, and tie good knots. Improved Clinch Knot never fails if tied correctly.

    Great casting line
    I am retired and fish for bass and trout approximately 100 days/yr and use Trilene XL exclusively on my spinning reels. The 4# low vis green is perfect to throw small cranks, spoons and spinners for trout here in the crystal clear White River tail water below Bull Shoals dam. XL is a dream to cast on spinning reels, has the stretch needed for setting the hook on light line and a diameter small enough to not affect your lure's action while drift fishing in 4 mph river current. Excellent strength and knot reliability.

    The Best Mono on the market!!
    I fish quite often in heavy current below a large dam with very rocky conditions where abrasion resistance is extremely important. This is during the spring run for 3-6 pound American shad and make literally 100's of casts a day. I have tried just about every other monofilament line on the market in these conditions and have found that Sensation holds up much longer than any other brand. Smallest diameter and very limp which results in longer casting distance and manageability. All of this at a very reasonable price. Try it out...I'm sure that you will agree...
