Best Sun Guard For This Lifeguard
Best sunscreen I've used over 13 years as a Lifeguard. Easy to apply, a little goes a very long way and smells great! I no longer deal with the occasional burn because of Bare Republic.

Nozzle clogs constantly
I prefer using mineral sunscreen over chemical sunscreen, so I was happy when I saw this product that offers the option of spray since it would let me apply it more easily. I was able to use it easily the first few times (and the product did the job and smelled nice), but after that the nozzle clogs up constantly, at times required using a safety pin to unclog it. Now I can't even remove the clog after not using for a couple of months, and it's going to the trash with it probably half full. The cover that smears the leftover sunscreen around when you try to close it makes it even more prone to clogs. The idea is good, but should probably wait for a redesign of the delivery system

I haven't had any problems with it clogging or not spraying, but it doesn't rub in! I've noticed that mineral sunscreens are thicker and don't rub in well, but this one leaves you white! I waited 45 minutes before getting in water, and I could watch it wash off of my skin! It never absorbed, so I certainly wouldn't call it water resistant!Rachel

This is one of the first sunscreens to actually protect me! I've not gotten burned while wearing it. Yes, it's a smidge white and thick, but spend enough time rubbing it around and it's totally fine. This worked great the first few times I used it, I liked the scent and texture and it absorbed well without leaving much residue. However the nozzle clogged or dried up or something and became unusable fairly quickly and the bottle was nearly full. :( A huge waste of product, guess I'll be sticking to non-sprays in the future.Lauren1013

As far as protection I would only rate it a 2 because two of us girls still burned even after reapplying every hour & half to 2 hrs. because of swimming.Dorothea C.

So, you have to rub it in like crazy and it leaves your skin a weird color. We ended up so burnt, even with 2 applications. All four of us got badly sunburnt. Will never buy this again!!Pam127

But if u use this spray, u will look like a ghost all day. It sprays out a thick white lotion that stays on all day. It is NOT sheer at all. Im not sure if it was good as a sunscreen but I was so disenchanted with the product that I never used it again. Wish I could return it and get my money back!Sho525

It does not spray out like other spray on sunscreens and delivers more like a bottle of sunscreen and needs to be rubbed on and into the skin very thourouly. Its very thick and white...and your skin ends up looking purple...everyone was asking me why i was purple. Its very expensive...but if they work out the kinks, its worth the money to save the water life!!!Stacey
